Jerry tried to get Witt on MM's staff when MM was hired. This was when Witt had no prior coaching experience whatsoever. Not even the little experience he has now at the high school level.
MM said no then and looks like he said no again. Jerry runs the richest sports organization int the world like it's a family general store in the backwoods of Arkansas.

Not how I view it but in Jerrys view, he allowed KM to go seek employment elsewhere and he left. Jerry feels like if guys wanna be here, they will be here. Its weird but its how he is. Just look what he said about MM recently. Jerry is stuck on loyalty and todays NFL doesn't work this way. They way he sees it Kellen left the Cowboy family, so I'd be shocked if he was interviewed then hired. Now Jj is forced to watch a division foe win and win big in the playoffs with his boy wonder. Imagine the angst he feels right now. Jerrys pride won't allow him to place the call.

I'm willing to take a 2nd look at Witten, but what I saw from Witten in the broadcast booth was "doofus"...kinda like Mike McCarthy. I know Garrett waxed poetic about how Witt went on for 15-20 minutes breaking down his Y-option route...whatever. Is he another Dan Campbell? Can he reach players or will he be seen as a Jones stooge?

I don't see it happening.
