Garrett calling the time out before the field goal with 23 seconds on the clock to end the first half is the biggest head scratcher of them all.. The man has absolutely zero clock management skills and is about as clueless as they come...the dude I played online in Madden yesterday had better game awareness than Garrett... it's so freaking laughable!
The Bengals lost quite a few starters to injuries and made the playoffs. The injury excuse is lame. They are a part of football. Bad coaching does not have to be a part of football.
As much as people hate on Kiffin, you see why he has had years of success and won a Super Bowl. He put together a damn good game plan vs. a quality opponent with a defense that continues to miss a lot of key players.
I don't know the last time Garrett and those guys on offense put together a similar game plan vs. a good team
Actually i think this was a well coached game.
Especially holding back the last time out was very good game management. The reporter wanted us to take it after we stopped Philly on 2nd down and that would have been plain stupid.
You could argue about not going for it on 4-2 at the beginning of the game. But to me that comes down to personality not good or bad decission making.
Jerry know whenever he fires Garrett he will have to bring in another BP type coach. That is the last thing he wants to do anytime soon.
No coach deserves to lose 3 times with a chance to make the playoffs and keep his job. Repeat no coach.
Not much excitement going into 2014. What does he say to the players when camp open.
Personally, I think Garrett coached his team up. They made the Eagirls look like the inferior team and the Eagirls are not the inferior team. Call it a excuse if you want.
Changing coaches won't help. To be honest I'm tired of the revolving door of coaches. I long for the days of coaching stability. The cowboys went their first 33 years with only 2 coaches and became America's team. I've lost track of how many coaches we've had since then and they haven't done anything (and the 5th Super Bowl win really belongs to Jimmy as much as Switzer).
