Ok if JG got fired, who would be the HC? How about Witten?
well that is the bad part, no telling who the jones boys would go with, jerry wants to win bad, but he wants a puppet coach,
and that wont get him to SB, he is going to have to get a coach that is head strong, and let him do his thing.

There are not that many good potential HC around, but me I might go with the OC at NE, he failed once, but having coached with NE
would be a good thing, and let him hire all the other coaches, we would have to clean house.

Give JG one more year IMO, his clock management gaff was costly but he has shown improvement.

If he can't get it done in 2017 with Zeke, Dez, Dak, the best O-line and an improved defense then he never will

Well jerry thinks it is a SB team now, so he wont let any coaches go, might as well accept that.
I could tell from his post game , he liked the comeback, but comebacks are usually not a good sign, it means
you didnt play well early on, then other team lets up and you comeback.

oh well next year wont be as interesting, and probablywill end the same.

I don't doubt you are right about being stuck with Garrett. Drunks make bad decisions all of the time. Soon you will get on the can Garrett bandwagon after a few more years of failure in the postseason.

Never! I haven't in 45 years and will never.

If Jerry offered 30M, would he come? I have zero doubt we'd win a few Super Bowls if he came to Dallas.

At this point in his career, Belichick doesn’t have to worry about his next paycheck.

He’s now more interested in cementing his legacy as one of if not the best coach the NFL ever had.

And the best position for him to do that is NE where Kraft lets him be his own man.

Here Jerry would want to stick his oar in.

And let’s not forget how Belichick fared with a dysfunctional organization in Cleveland (even though I know it was his first HC gig)?

Jason Witten must go if this team wants a SB. His penalties are killing us and how many times do we see him run a route 1 yard short of a first down and be unable to pick up the 1st down. Once he retires the average age of the team gets much younger. Bye Gold Jacket Wit.

But if BB could win a Super Bowl without Tom terrific that would only help his legacy.

First of all I don't think (and I could be wrong here) that a coach has won an SB with one team, then moved to another team and won the SB again.

Secondly he already has experience with working with a poorly run organization in Cleveland, why at this stage of his life would he want to repeat that joyous experience?

Thirdly winning another SB or two at NE would cement his reputation quite nicely no need to get greedy.

Fourthly why wouldn't Kraft match any offer Jerry would make money wise?

Put the thought to bed, he's not coming here

I'm just thinking out loud, I know he's not coming here. He's also a northeast guy.

It's sad to me that we have fans that would be willing to sacrifice next season if that meant the departure of Jason Garrett. :(

I'm going to air out an ugly truth about the NFL: good head coaches barely exist. Especially if you're grading them on game-day decisions, where almost all of them are just mediocre to bad.

By the standards most fans apply to Garrett, even Carroll and McCarthy are blunderers and Tomlin and Harbaugh are merely adequate. Let's be real clear: I'm talking about their propensity to make (or allow their coordinators to make) game-time mistakes - obviously they have more overall success. But that's more a function of consistently fielding good teams year-in and year-out, rather than some drastic difference in how often they make dumb mistakes. Belichick is really the only guy who sets himself apart from the crowd in the 2000+ era of football on gameday. And of course he's not available.

The good news is that you can win Super Bowls without historical genius level coaching. In fact, that's how most of them have been won. Most Super Bowls have not, after all, been won by the Patriots. They were generally won by solid plodders who had a good roster that got hot at the right time. The odds that firing Garrett leads to the hiring of someone who is substantively better than him on game-day are minute.

I'm not sure what the answer is, but that team was totally unprepared for the first half of the game. It's not like GB was a mystery to Garrett, they've played them 9 times since he has been here. Seems pretty inexcusable, in the past it was "players need to execute" they are all supposedly his players now, what went wrong?

If Garrett wins coach of the year, the ones who voted for him are the ones who will look stupid. Sadly for them, I think they voted before Garrett showed us what he was again in the last game.

Why because you say so. Personally I think your stance is stupid. This team was given no chance even by many here yet achieved a lot out of a young ball club. You have your mind made up so no sense in carrying on long conversation but you going around saying anyone who disagrees with your view is stupid? Please you don't know crap of what you are talking about. But please continue to rave and act like a fool you are pretty good at it. You said earlier you have been a fan since the 70's as if that means a damn thing, I have been a fan since 1965 but does not make my view any more legit
