I don't care who decided to make that a fair catch, the coaches are to blame because they should have made it clear to Austin that they needed a big return there if he had the chance. If you are not preparing your players for what they need to do in that situation, you are not doing your job as coach. At the 50-yard line, with time only to set up a Hail Mary, you have your returner try to take that back every time. Even if you go all out to block the punt, which we didn't, choosing instead of set up the return we didn't try to make.

And this is why Garrett will never be in the same league as Belichick. Why is Garrett getting paid millions if nothing is ever on him or his responsibility coaching wise? Might as well fire Garrett mid season if nothing at all is on him and it's all on the players and other coaches. He is doing nothing but standing on the side lines and clapping.
