Wade had success behind what Parcells built. He steadily got worse with each passing season.

Uh, they won their first playoff game in his second to last season. It's his last season that sucked. Problem with Wade's tenure is you had JG in control of at least half of it by the end, with Jerry setting it up during Wade's reign for Garrett, with the final effects of it evident in that last season. There is a reason why Wade wanted to bring in Dan Reeves, and Dan Reeves isn't some happy-go-lucky guy. He's from the same hard-nosed school as Parcells.

Could someone tell me what Wade did so bad that got him fired that Garrett hasn't done as well? Both lost the team, both took multiple butt whippings in the same season, both were clueless on how to fix the problems, and yet, Wade got the boot but Garrett remains...

Wade probably knew how to fix the problem, which is why he called in one of the most disciplined HCs in the NFL ever, Dan Reeves. And the primary reason was to correct the running game. The problem is, Jason probably went boo-hoo behind the scenes, and Jerry wanted Jason as HC from the very beginning and was trying to get there as quick as possible. The irony is, now Jerry is trying to hire many a consultant, but he's so far down the crapper with JG, it's not looking good right now.

Wade Phillips was the MOST hamstrung HC in Dallas Cowboys history ever. Garrett isn't even close... Garrett is just incompetent.
