Jason Garrett says Dallas 'did some good things' in Chicago
Well, no one got killed, other than that.....

What a frightening quote. I know Jerry is just to support his boneheaded hire, but what he's basically saying there is if he could pick any coach in the world, he would take Monte Kiffin right now to coach this defense.
Scary.
The "abandoning the running game" statement is a pile of BS. Aside from the possession in that two-minutes before the half, Dallas did not get away from the running game until the Bears went up 35-14 with 2:20 remaining in the 3rd quarter.
And in that two-minute possession, you're not going to run the ball if you want to score. The Bears were up 3, and they were to get the ball to begin the 2nd half. What's more, the defense hadn't stopped Chicago all night, so it had already become a case of needing to match them score-for-score. The defense once again couldn't make a stop, and the Bears go in to the half up 10. They take the opening kickoff of the 3rd and make it 27-14. On Dallas' next possession, it's a 3 and out, but not because of abandoning the run. Two runs and an incomplete pass. The Bears extend the lead to 35-14 and THEN Garrett decides to abandon the run game, and rightly so.
"Getting away from the run game" didn't happen until it was absolutely necessary, and it damn sure didn't contribute to the loss.
And maybe this is what you were referring to, but he specifically said the offense was doing some good things but then the Bears got a stop and scored and the game got out of hand. In other words, blaming the defense. In other other words, protecting his side of the ball and thus his own hide. Typical.
He actualy said that yesterday after the game.

Jerry Jones has made a lot of questionable calls in Dallas, but I really think hiring JG was his worst one. He is just an awful head coach.
Wow.
It's no wonder why these fans continue to tell Jerry thank you, may I have another.
Yes. Wade Phillips won with players Bill Parcells couldn't. Something like that.
Nope we abandoned the running game. Every single person can see that. Why not keep running the ball at the end of the 1st half? They weren't stopping it at all. Our passing game sucked last night. Even down just 13 with the ball in Bears territory we resort to passing the ball.
Garrett is horrible.
Wade Phillips had a 13 win season, an 11 win season in which he won a playoff game, and a 9 win season, in which romo missed 3 games, compared to what is going on right now, wade isn't looking too bad.
JG is a fool, I wish Troy would slap him silly
But Parcells and Wade did have some success here. Garrett is just terrible.
we tried the bull headed coach, Parcells, we tried the cupcake coach, Wade (some people are just better coordinators), and we tried a college coaches, and lame duck coaches. My question is whats left?

yes they did, but what did it result in?
Blowing up the coaching staff is not a good idea. I really hate Garrett and thought he has made some dumb decisions but Jones should not fire Kiffin or Callahan. They have been coaches for a very long time and know what they are doing. I would bring in Gruden or Lovie Smith as they would keep the current assistants in place. Dallas cannot change systems after every disappointing season. The players need consistency.
