The early fumbles didn't help this team and neither did that missed field goal on 4th and 1.I'd rather see a team go for it or punt it than go for 3 points in that situation.

Another thing that really got exposed today was the o-line,they got manhandled as the game wore on.It's hard to make adjustments when you are getting blown off the ball on every snap at every line position.Once the line got their collective butts handed to them the game was over.

I also think that Houck must be here for a paycheck because I don't think he's the line coach that he used to be or the players that Dallas have are just that bad.

Jason Garrett is a drive killer. That is the main reason we were the 2nd ranked offense in the league this year (yardage wise), and only 14th in the league as far as our scoring. 13th in touchdowns. Garrett can't finish. He isn't consistent. He is a symbol for what is wrong with this team.

1st and Goal and we pull out the freaking Razorback for the waste of a crucial down. This guy is unbelievable.

The OC COULD have come up with something to negate the pass rush....but just didn't see much adjusting....so yes JG COULD HAVE called plays that would be called an "Adjustment". Instead, he ran delayed draws against a quick defense....like this was a surprise to ANYONE! I'll wager that we ran more delayed draws this year than "regular" running plays.

Plus, he called the Razorback at the 10 when we marched down the field....not to mention leaving MBIII in the game when he's not a threat whatsoever....so, could JG have "adjusted"? Without a doubt. But he's a former QB and he's doing OJT on a team that has a storied past...no way that we have to settle for a guy that is doing OJT.

I just hope he get's better with his situational play-calling. I thought he had it figured out but was WAY wrong.

I go straight for the ad hominem every time, and I think I'm still a decent lawyer.

It's more fun. :)

I'm a first year law student at Texas, but we don't even talk about attacking the opposition personally. It's not even in our repertoire. Maybe in terms of realism, but not in law school. We just don't do it. It's all about case law and facts at hand.

Did the o line play poorly? Well, hell yes, but Garrett's play calling left a lot to be desired. On our first possession in the third quarter, we were running the ball down their throats and getting chunks of yards. What do we do on first down when we're deep in their territory? A toss seven yards deep in our own backfield to MARION BARBER? Does Garrett not know his own personnel? I wouldn't have run a toss to anyone, but certainly not to Barber. If you're gonna run that play, run it to Felix. At least he has some speed. That was a STUPID play call, resulting in a loss of 7 and another wasted drive. In addition, we kept running that delayed draw and it never worked. Garrett just didn't have an answer today and it showed. I want him GONE.

So keep running the ineffective Barber? That's the answer? Answer this, could Jason Garrett have made any adjustments that would have improved our chances? Or do you think he can do no wrong?

What is it that you're defending here?

All I'm defending is against the argument that Garrett, who led the number 2 offense in the league the entire season, needs to go. I thought you would have figured that out, since you seem so hell-bent on arguing with me. Here's a tip, and I didn't have to wait to go to law school to learn it... Know what you're arguing against.

That is really unbelieveable....2nd in yards and middle of the pack in scoring....drive killer ...yep....that stat is an indictment against him for sure.

Hey, I wasn't playing on the o-line today, so take it easy on me. :D

Would it be better if I had prefaced my post with, "If Romo actually audibled into that play when he yelled..."?

Even if Romo audibled to that, why is that even an audible play?

Doesn't really matter. That play sucked and is a result of a failure somewhere between Red and Romo.

I'll blame Red.

You "know", which shows how much you don't know. Peppy, Mr. "look at me, I went to law school"... Oh, please no knee-jerking after one crucial game. How thoughtless can you be? I know one thing, you'd never represent me, peppy.

The defense rests.

Today was a team loss, plain and simple.

Offensive line got their butts whipped.

Romo could have been better too. The pressure didn't give him much of an opportunity, but you still have to protect the ball, and the double pump hit the LB in the belly play was just a bad decision.

The defense wasn't as good today either, it wasn't bad, just not the shut down standard we got used to watching the past few games.

I don't know if Garrett is a great offensive coordinator or not, but I certainly think he is good enough.

I'm just not convinced that this total package, the Wade/Garrett hybrid, is good enough to get us to the Super Bowl. I believe that Jerry should head in a different direction, but it isn't going to happen, so we just all need to look toward the draft and see where we go from here.

For arguments sake, if you were the OC and had led your team to the #2 ranked O in the regular season, but suddenly found yourself without your starting LT and your 'starting' RB had nothing from the first snap of the game, what would you do?

So since he coached a #2 offense, then statistics mean everything and clutch play calling is out the window? This was a 60 minute game and it never occurred to him during 60 minutes to make adjustments. There is no excuse for scoring a measly 3 points, especially if you're in command of the talent that plays for your #2 offense.

Let me guess, all of a sudden, the players just forgot how to play? That seems odd, being that there are 11 or so players on offense, and that you seem to be arguing that they all forgot how to play all of a in a matter of 8 days.

You're argument boils down to reductio absurdum--very incapable of seeing the whole picture.

Okay, here's my final word on this.

If there's nothing Jason Garrett could do about our O-line sucking balls, then maybe we should hire someone that can do something about it.

Actually, if you understood the post, it is very much an indictment against him. That is the sign of a play caller that has plenty of talent at his disposal, but can't finish. Second in yardage but mediocre in scoring? It can't be any more obvious.

We were a Top 5 offense in yards BEFORE Garrett even got here. What exactly has he done to deserve praise or defense for these pathetic efforts?

edit: (and if you weren't being sarcastic, I am sorry for the mix up)
