They folded pretty regularly in the 4th quarter.Campo's teams played hard. Enough said.

Yeah, I never thought I'd see the day where we wax nostalgic about the Dave Campo era.
The GM, if he had the slightest clue as to what he's doing, should have recognized that and either done whatever it took to keep Parcells around or brought in another established head coach with the same authority.
Instead he brought his case of puppets back out.
and, my personal favorite..... "the team hasnt quit on him yet"
that is the new coaching criteria for the dallas cowboys

I will be shocked, and pleasantly surprised, that when Romo leaves if the QB situation does not look like the post Aikman years. I don't think it will be as bad as hutch, carter and Henson but I think there will be a multi year gap before we find the next guy. And I think we will not find that guy on our first try (ie draft the wrong guy). I think this is where you will see the multi 5-6 wins seasons during this time.
If you think the frustration and apathy is bad know, I think it will get much worse during this time period.
To be fair, Quincy carter did not know how to throw a spiral, chad Hutchinson was horrendous as we're Anthony wright, Randall Cunningham and Clint stoerner.
Hard to function as a team when you can't throw a forward pass, which was literally the situation. Go back and watch that season opener against Tampa in 01. It was like we had no qb at all.

I don't think that anyone could argue that Dave Campo couldn't have gotten us 8-8 records with this talent.
Thats sad
The Campo years ....ugh....thought ten years would have buried those memories...shows that we really haven't improved as an organization if his era is still being brought up as a comparison.
Campo didn't have a Tony Romo. Im pretty sure that equals to 3 more wins by having a top 10 QB.

Give Campo Romo and Garrett Leaf, Stoerner, Wright, Hutchinson, QC and Campo goes 8-8 while Garrett is lucky to go 5-11. Can you imagine some of those QB's Campo had airing it out 45-50 times a game under Garrett? Yikes.
You guys have lost your minds.
