I'm having a hard time seeing any future without #4 behind center. RB's are easily replaced, and Tyron's replacement is on the roster already. The line could use some help, and maybe a couple of backup spots along the roster, but a rebuild implies that you're blowing up the roster and starting fresh. I see no need whatsoever to go down that road.

I think many of our own fans want this to happen. You can tell by many posts and threads on here. And you just just proved it.

Its already happening. Dallas is in rebuild mode now and the players on their last year will not be coming back in 2023.

Well to be frank with you I don't follow anybody I'll check out Fish every now and again, I'll Check out Nate and the guys on hangin with the Boys. I love that show for some reason, even if Jesse rubs me the wrong way most of the time

Mostly I just read about the team and go with what I believe.

Cowboys already have 3rd youngest team in entire NFL.

The bottom 5 oldest teams tend to be more successful in the playoffs.

I'm excited to see Tyler at LT, myself. But I also know it's a 17 game season, and so I'm stoked about both, really. I liked Tyron, but it's obvious he can't hold up. So it's next man up.

I actually like our odds going into Tampa, particularly if they put some new players out there in the secondary, and if Turpin or Fehoko ball out.

I'm not sure how I feel about signing a player I spent the last decade and change learning to hate.

I suppose it beats watching Daks head removed from his torso.

In all seriousness, I'd bet the delay is about the team wanting to limit the guarantee if Smith proves to be advanced in development, or the situation dictates we may as well play Smith every week.

The delay is simple. It was Friday, and the league was closed on Friday, so there was nothing "official." But the deal will get done, most likely today.

Exactly. There's no rebuilding going on. The plan is for this team to be the team,and maintain it.

If they can fix the penalties, stop the run, and establish the run, they will be in good shape for a run. That was the problem last year: we couldn't stop the run or establish a run against a playoff team. So this year, we got Tyler Smith, and filled in holes opened by the departures of Cooper and Collins. And this year, our 2nd year guys look primed to stop the run. And Hill, being a 4th year guy, finally looks ready to contribute, and he's healthy, which has been the primary issue with him.

People forget how much DQ relied on rookies last year, and a lot of those guys are finally turning the corner.

That $1.75M deal was because he was 39 years old and coming off an injury-plagued 2020 season with Philly.

After having a very good 2021 season with the Bears and with the Cowboys probably needing him to be their starting LT for much of the year, I’m guessing he’ll ask for a lot more than $1.75M.

Maybe like $5M or more based on incentives. We’ll see.

I said $3.5 million, because he did have a better year in Chicago. Still, he's 40.

Easy...You guys have to accept that the team has to tank a season and draft in the top 2. That's the only way to get the next Joe Burrow and not some 4th round draft QB.
