Played for Cowher under Haslett and then Tim Lewis as DC. Then under Dom Capers and Vic Fangio in HOU. Spent 2 years with Kubiak and Richard Smith.
"So Simmons got back to football's highest level through a coaching internship with the Packers in 2011 and began climbing the organization's ranks. He stayed on as an administrative assistant with the club until he was promoted to assistant special teams coach in 2015. Three years later, Simmons became Green Bay's secondary coach, and he continued in a similar role under first-year head coach Matt LaFleur in 2019."
So 3 years as a secondary coach. Prior to that an assistant special teams guy. His 3 years as a defensive coach have been under Mike Pettine and Phil Snow.
Interesting tid bit, hearing Pettine and Capers names associated. Similar to a poster pointing out the White/Quinn connection.
Pettine, Capers and Quinn were all names attached to possible DC candidates by some of the local talking heads.
