BTW, Jason Taylor wasn't drafted in the 1st round, like Greg Ellis... He also went to a smaller school...

And how is he a drama queen, considering he won the 2007 NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year...

Dude, he couldn't even make it to the regular season without spraining his ******. He is not NFC East material. He is a skirt-wearing fancy boy.

Jason Taylor played in the AFC East his whole career. If he had played in the NFC East his whole career as Ellis has done, he would likely be dead by now.

The NFC East as the bottom of the barrel during the majority of Jason Taylor's career... The Commanders and Cowboys were dreadfully awful and so were the Giants as a whole. The Giants put up a couple good years.. Even Philly couldn't get to the Super Bowl more than ocne, because they kept choking in tthe conference championship...

Just like Superpunk said, Jason Taylor was horrible last year. No wonder the Dolphins wanted to dump his twinkle-toe rear-end.

So Zach Thomas must be sorry also...

Jason taylor was horrible last year, what does that make Greg Ellis? Jason taylor had 11 sacks, an interception return for a TD, more tackles than Greg Ellis, and as many forced fumbles, not playing next to two men by the name of Ratliff and Ware... He played on a 1-15 team...

And he was playing a 3-4 and was being moved around...

Jason Taylor has one of the longest starting streaks in the NFL. It is about to be ended against Dallas. he has 8 staright seasons where he has played 16 games. Ellis has only played in 4 seasons going 16 games.

Edit time. You probably meant 8 straight seasons.

So are the Commanders hopes of winning the East. It's almost poetic in its symmetry.

Well I start by watching games....and in said games (particularly the most recent games) I've seen JT constantly pushed off the ball. He's completely overmatched against the run. Ellis, on the other hand isn't.

Hello... Jason taylor has been playing on a sprained knee... He isn't close to 100 hundred percent...

What do the crappy Commanders have to do with the fact that Jason taylor is a much better player then Greg Ellis... I'd rather have Taylor then Greg Ellis on the Cowboys. He is a much better pass rusher, and he covers a lot better. he plays the run just as well, and Greg Ellis is more easily beat around the edges in the run...

Cool. I'll add 'injury' to the list of reasons I think Ellis is a better fit here. At least he can recover form his injuries. ;)

Taylor sprained his knee in the 4th game of pre-season.. Ellis, when he gets injured, is gone for the whole year... He breaks way more easily...

Ellis has one year where he breaks 10 sacks, and he is all world. I guess it's a matter of perception. The guy never breaks ten his whole career, so when he does it, it seems all the more great. When you consistently are good, like Jason taylor, it doesn't look as impressive.

I know, right? I originally heard 7 to 10 days to recover. How long is he going to use this excuse?

And now he can't play because he got a calf bruise?!? Jason Witten gets his shoulder popped back in at halftime and continues to catch passes!

Lmao...you're the one who was using his injury as a crutch, not me.

Ellis ('07-'08) >>>>>>> Taylor ('07-'08)

Sorry 'bout your luck.

Not true, watching him get outrun by Eli was impressive. I was left with the impression that he blows like a hurricane.

I absolutely love it when posters do this. They're losing an argument and they throw out crap like this...as a matter of fact, I was just talking about htis in another thread.

Taylor's play has been in decline for some time now. Ellis' has been steadily improving.

Plus no doubt Taylor's numbers were helped a great deal by playing in the AFC East. Very doubtful that he would have duplicated those numbers in the NFC East.

He screamed like a little girl when he got injured this preseason and it wasn't even serious. He was flailing around like his leg got ripped off.

Let me repeat, he was screaming like a little girl.

Well that's what they do in the AFC East. :)

Big blow this week. Any part of beating the Cowboys consists of a pass rush from the front 4

Time to plan B :)

Not that big of a blow, he wasn't gettin much pressure anyway. He's been average on his pass rush and terrible against the run. You're not losing much at all. Don't be fooled!!!

I think Snyder asked Zorn to bench him to provide a straw man excuse for 'Skin fans to justify their defeat.
