Really? You "heard" that? From whom? Source? Got video of that?

I'd have to see/hear a lot more proof of that before I'd put any credence in it.

Witten was a super successful tight end, HOF player, who I'm sure had many chances to go to another team for more money but stayed at Dallas. No reason at all for him to "rat" to JJ.
Witten was a compiler - 14 catches in a blowout. He had zero postseason success. He was part of the Cabo crew as well completely overrated football player lionized in Dallas because we had nothing else..
Not a pimple on the *** of Tony Gonzalez - Gronk - Todd Christensen- Frank Wycheck - Kelce - Bavarro. - I could go on and on.

This would be the worst possible hire possible....that is why Booger will entertain it. He probably equates seeing all the Cowboy zombies filing into AT&T in their Witten jerseys as a voice of approval....when in fact, they are without doubt the lowest common denominator Cowboy fans going. I noticed a comment at the bottom of this attached article that I had TOTALLY forgotten....Boogers proposed "leader of men" Jason Witten....while a Cowboy, and teammate...refused to take any of the other TE's on the squad under his wing. Let that sink in...that is pathetic behavior. And please don't forget Cabo 2008.

Has is Witten even in the conversation? Guy has ZERO experience. Sorry he is not Dan Campbell.

Yeah but if he happened to be good then Jerry would get all the credit, and isn't that what's most important?

I’ve likened the being the Cal Ripken of football. His best ability was his availability/durabilty. He had some nice productive seasons but he was not a dynamic, game changing player that our fans want him to be.

Being a HC isn't hard. Just place a program in place, motivate, have the players commit, and make sure a game is called right.

The problem is having a good coaching staff behind the HC. This is where I believe Witten and Moore might have issues. JJ will hand pick the staff, mostly no experience guys or bums.

So it doesn't matter who the HC is, JJ will hand pick the staff and stuff will be poop like the way it has always been.

I think you are under rating how hard it is to be a HC.

But being a HC that can win a SB is VERY HARD.

You're entitled to your opinion.

I don't share it, however.
Zero chance there are only nine tight ends in the Hall of Fame and he’s not in that class like we said he’s a compiler.
Really?

So the voters will not vote in a player with 1,228 receptions, 13,046 yards receiving and 11 Pro Bowls?

Well, we'll see in 2026....

It's easy if the HC can do as described. I agree it's not easy, but those who has it will have it easy. Most problems I see with good HCs come from having their guys ready to play, poor game mgt, or from his coaching staff. Defensive minded coach with a bad OC running the offense, or vice versa. You recall how much better DQ made this team? A good team requires quality from the top to bottom. The 90s Cowboys, recall how many of the coaches went on to have good careers or became HC's.
