Again, this board and the non athlete casual fan cant appreciate the talent of TO..

Any player on the team can see he makes their team better. The biased clowns cant see that. They prefer to be mediocre with their 'guys' on the team.

What a joke.

Thanks Lombardi.

He is'nt and never will be a leader, he is a whinny little "You know what". A real leader would of stood up and put To in his place if he was such a distraction. But no not our QB he's gotta run to JJ and cry like a girl about it and whats Daddy Jones do? Makes the Cowboys more Tomy Romo friendly.

There you have it our pompus ,celebrity, i anit done jack for my team QB is now gonna be known as a whiny little "You know what" no way any one respects him now.

I can see it now if any of you guys as so much as mutter the words i want the ball or i'm open i'll go tell daddy Jones and he'll cut you too. Pathetic.

Can you not even see the POSSIBILITY that this might do wonders for Romo?
Eli was thought of to be even less of a leader than Romo, but when they got rid of Tiki and Shockey - guess what? He supposedly became a better leader. I don;t know how accurate that is or not, but he was able to get the Giants a Superbowl win.

Maybe, just maybe, getting rid of T.O. can do the same for Romo. I doubt Romo whined to Jerry about T.O. either. If anybody did, I bet it was Red.

And I'm also not convinced RW11 is a dud yet either. I think there is at least a 50-50 chance he will shine as the #1 WR. We will see.

i dont blame other players for being pissed off, Barber and Romo sure appreciated the attention that TO garnered in 2008 now opposing defenses are licking there chops because now they will not fear our receiving corps....its officially open season on Romo and our Running backs....plus our pathetic coach, yah its gonna be a great 2009 season

this time next year we'll have our answers. I doubt TO was the issue on this team. I'm not going to speculate on who i yhink is the problem. That will do us no good. I would like to know who's going to catch 80 balls for 1200 yards and at LEAST ten td's to replace him though.
I cannot see anyone here with that kind of talent.

It's the ol "get rid of everyone and figure it out later" theory. Hopefully this doesn't mean another 13 years without a Lombardi. I would like to see another before my 20/20 vision goes bye bye.

None of which was proven, and who's credibility for the reports was simply based on "anonymous" sources.

Exactly. None of it was proven. It was all pure speculation.

Hysterical.

Jerry Jones cut his best offensive talent and ate $9M because Ed Werder and the Evil Media Conglomerate made up stories about poor little innocent TO. Every player in the locker actually adores TO, he is nothing but sunshine and rainbows, but Jerry is going to make a monumental decision and cut him for no good reason because Peter King said he should.

You people are beyond delusional.

Actually, you're delusional, because it is exactly what I said. None of what was reported as a supposed rift between Romo and TO, or that there was a fight between TO and Witten ever proven. Stop creating straw men and then attacking them.

None of it has been *disproven.* And now TO is gone and Jerry is paying $9M for nothing.

Why do you think that is?

T.O. successfully turned this thing into a racial divide with some of the brothers. So now some of the black players view this as a big whitey thing--

rather than what it is...

Which is merely a 3rd occasion where TO(XIC) does his thing.

This team will take two or three seasons to heal. I'm not sure some of the relationships will *ever* be the same. The seeds of racism, when well nourished, die slowly, if never.

Jones finally did the right thing. But bringing Owens to Dallas in the first place is a mistake that will continue to cost this franchise.

Do you really believe that?

well no reason for you to waste your time watching since you have it all figured out.

It was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt when when Jerry ate 9 mil, swallowed his ego and kicked his boy to the curb today.

wether people like it or not, is irrelivant. the team just has to win. screw the BS the organization as a whole needs to put in extra work to get this team situated because they lost a big piece of their success. wether the anti owens crowd will admit it or not. they lost a big piece, not just tds and yards. they lost that element that opened up things for crayton and austin, that outside blocking, downfield blocking. is roy williams going to sprint past barber or crayton and clear the way with a block 20 yrds down the field?

this team has a big shoe to fill, and if they cant then thats somthing that will be a regret.

heres to hoping for something in 09

Well, SOME of it was confirmed. We know the fight occurred. We know the meetings happened. AND we know he was cut today.

While the details may not be reliable, I fail to see how anyone looking at this critically can reach the conclusion that the release of TO is anything but confirmation that he was the source of lockerroom strife.

As has been said, he's a good player. But he was released for a reason. I'm going to assume that Jerry Jones made his decision based on personal knowledge of the inside situation and not based on "anonymous sources" reported at ESPN.

So for me, this release confirms the idea that there was a rift and TO was at the middle of it.

You keep going back to that fight. Ok, that fight, was actually between T.O. and Carpenter, NOT Witten. Witten only jumped into it to break them up. If you are going to quote facts, make sure that they are accurate.

Nice cherrypicking on TO's blocking. Most of the time he was less forceful than the average basketball player setting a screen when it came to blocking.

The burden of proof is on the one who makes the claim.

Why do you think that is?

There could be a myriad of reasons, but I'll stick to the primary one that I've been saying for a while: Garrett didn't want him around.
