22 months since the surgery and time to start calling it what it is, a failed experiment. Jerry is a wild catter but doesnt recognize a dry hole when he sees one.

Is it "trolling" if someone said the sky is blue? Jaylon Smith as of November 12, 2017, is a WOEFUL football player. What difference does it make if it's a Cowboys fan, Falcons fan, or Burt Reynolds saying so?

This. If he starts any game while Lee is out that game will be lost. Today he hurt the team in rush defence, he's more of a liability in pass defence SINCE HE CAN'T PLANT AND TURN. Why the coaches don't see this or are ignoring it is beyond me.

Even on the rare occasion when Smith does stumble into the right position, he acts like he has no idea to do once he gets there. What an epic fail of an organization this is.

Just from watching him, I do think that it's mostly the injury (although I do think his football IQ/diagnosis ability is lacking as well). He just does everything in a completely unnatural way in order to compensate for the injured leg or to avoid further injury of it.

He is absolutely horrific at this time. A real shame.

It makes you wonder who really calls the shots when comes to who plays and who doesn't. Taking a chance on Jaylon Smith made for good story, but as it stands now, Jaylon should not be playing in the NFL. Hind Sight is twenty twenty as they say, but the fact is , Dallas could use a competent second round draft pick playing linebacker or at least helping out.

Just pay attention to him man. He's actively getting out of his lanes to avoid having to take on blocks head on. He's always arrives at the tackle a second after its happened. Do you not see how poor the defence becomes once Lee is out and they replace him with Jaylon? He's very, very poor right now, and people say worst ever because they see him run extremely slow when running diagonally.... no other NFL player would get away with that

Again, guys. Watch his games and not his highlights from college - that "deer in the headlights", "hitting the wrong gaps" was there in college as well. Scouts seemed fascinated by his sideline to sideline speed - as every season, there is a couple players that shoot up into the first found on athletics alone.

.....you know, like Byron Jones. Who we also drafted.

100% agree. Bobby Carpenter was far, far better than what we've seen from Jaylon so far. I mean like Sean Lee vs Justin Durant type better.

And that's saying something because Bobby Carpentee was horrific.

Jaylon has been awful especially this game. Countless times the falcons didn't have to put a blocker on him because he would take himself out of the play. One play he ran into the line and actually blocked hitchens from attempting to make the play. I think hitchens ran into him or tripped over him. Jaylon it terrible. Idk who he is seeing out their or maybe he is seeing it his body just not reacting like he wants to. IDK. But to me jaylon needs to get out of the middle linebacker spot. He needs to move to WLB or SLB. He is not a MLB. MLB you gotta have instincts. Jaylon has zero right now.
