I disagree. I think Gregory was way too much of a gamble. But I don't think Jaylon was. I still think you're going to have a generational talent there that you just had to wait on. I truly don't think our issues lie with the draft at all. I think it lies with coaching and cap management, in that order. Dak was OK and Garrett destroyed him by letting our offensive line wither and leaving Chaz Green in there.

What is actually happening is important
The real value of a high draft pick is that you can get an impact player that is cheap
Jaylon is just becoming even average in year 3
Even if he becomes a really good player (he's never going to be the pie in the sky generational talent you keep hanging your hat on) next year he'll be a FA and will either leave or we'll have to pay him a lot
Therefore we have lost out on the real benefit of a high draft pick
