Still say he's the Garrett of players. Looks the part, has the big smile, says all the right cliches to the media, but spare as can be.

Also like Garrett, knows he's untouchable because he's got a big contract and is on Jerry's good side.

There are times when he's running and I swear he's legitimately disabled (meant with zero disrespect). Like he cannot sprint and he does not look right, and I wonder how the FO and coaches don't (won't) acknowledge it.

I was as big a Jaylon Smith fan in college as there was. I was a few feet away at the Fiesta Bowl when the injury happened. It was grotesque. No way he should be able to come back to what he showed a few years ago. But the last few years he has shown flashes of a guy who should not be playing football. Then a few plays later, he looks normal. It's really weird.

Jaylon is also Exhibit A of the entitlement Jerry allows. He was the player who responded to Garrett's texts that he doesn't have to listen to him, his recent comments if "the owner ain't trippin", as well as his lack of self-awareness about the decline in his play .."watch the film"

I'm not big on Dan Quinn but I do think he will challenge Jaylon and actually call him out for his poor play.

Clear-eye view, Clear-eye view
It's between Jaylon's glasses and his knee
Clear-eye view, Clear-eye view
With turf-swipes and glee

Oh Clear-eye view, yes Clear-eye view
Why do we sign of its fame?
Clear-eye view, Clear-eye view
'Cause Jaylon likes saying it's name!
Clear-eye view!

Led the league in tackle celebrations on plays ending in a first down for
the opposition.

Sure, Jaylon had the most Tackle Celebrations (TC’s) for the season

A more interesting stat, in my opinion, is Tackle Celebrations Per Play (TCPP). The leader for the Cowboys there is LVE but he fell short in total TC’s for the year because he played about half the snaps of Jaylon

If they played the same number of snaps, LVE would have needed larynx surgery after the season from all the wolf howls.

I also heard a rumor that his neck injuries were caused by snapping his head back during his celebrations

Feel free to start an LVE thread. I don't see him giving interviews calling himself elite,
but I'm sure we can discuss his game as well.

I believe @CalPolyTechnique had a chart showing LVE making as many splash
plays as Jaylon in half the time on the field.

He is the worst to wear 54. Howley and white are probably steaming mad this guy shares the same number.

This dude has regressed as a player. Out of position. No instincts for where the play is developing. Sure he has a ton of tackles but how many are at or within +/- 2 yards of the line of scrimmage? Can't wait for the day he improves, is cut or no longer dons the number 54 for dallas.

But then again he surely is in the pocket of the Jones company regardless of outcome.
