he's been following around Sean lee and learning from him.
Well there goes his knee now ....... Lee will explain how they do things in rehab
Or talk about their frat boy days at ND.
Lee went to PSU.
ND doesn't have frats.
Other than that...................
Recap please.
Listening in app now. questions so far about his injury in college and what it felt like. Also said they'll get into how he's been following around Sean lee and learning from him.
He didn't happen to say, "Oh yeah, and that nerve started firing this morning, just as if nothing ever happened to it," did he? Hoping that maybe he did and you just forgot to mention it.Nothing groundbreaking. A bunch of 'really excited to be here' and 'really driven to get back on the field'. Acknowledged Lee as the guy he's following- both because he's a heck of a player and a smart football guy, as well as the fact that Lee has been through similar setbacks.. Said he has a lot support from Lee and other teammates.

He said his knee is fine. It's just the nerve and when it heals. It could be this year; it could be next year (he said in so many words).
I think all involved want to temper expectations to avoid disappointment. But with the talk that the nerve grows around 1 inch a month and even as much as 1 1/2 inches according to the Stephen Jones interview. Then 5-6 months from that January surgery is very possible. That also lines up with the Sean Spence injury that took 6 months for the nerve to fire and at least similar to Mat McBriar's that took less than 6 months after he had surgery on a cyst that blocked the nerve from it's path.
