The injury guarantee was the big issue here and why he was probably also untradeable.

He wasn’t good enough to risk him getting hurt and then us getting hosed next year.

Looks like the fanbase is going to have to find another whipping boy. Can’t think of a player in recent years that’s received more flack from the fans than Jaylon.

He worked his butt off.....I wish him well and I think the jokes are pretty shallow.
This is why players should get paid when they can. Some fans don't appreciate a damn thing and make hate jokes about one of their own players.
RESPECT it goes a long ways. Thanks Ranching!

Man I can’t either. I’d even go as far as to say he didn’t deserve it. But it’s all over now or should be anyway.

You sure about that? He has a huge base salary next year. Something like $21M. Cowboys are already eating a huge chunk ($10M) this year while he is hurt.

Lol, you truly have no idea why you're talking y

Wasn't expecting this until the off season.

I won't lie, thought this would come in pre-season. Especially considering the home runs they hit in the draft with Parsons and Cox. Then you add in Neal and
A 2nd is what I said. Anything less isn't worth it. Right now cooper is playing hurt. If we play a defensively tough team and cooper misses that only leaves Wilson, CD, the 2 tight ends. That's alot of pressure and a very short rotation of good players. Gallup ensures we have good depth and being able to hit defenses in waves of good players is never a bad thing. Now if we were a 3-8 win team then yes a trade is worth it. But unless the wheels fall off we should be able to compete at a high level.

You hit on the key here: Coop's continued flirtation with injury(s)......I love him when healthy but he gets nicked up quite a bit. To say Gallup is a very good replacement for Coop is fair. As GOOD as Coop? No, but very capable. They won't shop MG and we'll probably lose him next year but Wilson is showing enough to be a good #3 at this point.

I don’t know why it took until him being cut for me to realize this, but the reason why he has such a big ego and head is due to the hardships and stress he endured when he got injured in college. He was one of the best LBs in college and a sure fire 1st round draft pick only to blow out his leg during the last game of the season. That would take a toll on anyone’s mental health. Personality wise, I Think he forced himself to believe in himself 150% and work twice as hard as everyone else just to get a chance to see the field again at the pro level. That, coupled with a very good come back year in 2018 and the huge contract - the ego shot up through the roof and it created a persona unable to be self-aware even when playing poorly.

That being said I admire his dedication and what he went through but at the end of the day football is football and if you can’t play football then get the hell out

Or he's just an $%&*&*#.
