Jaylon Smith: Relentless Effort, Heart of a Champion

This is our self-appointed defensive “leader.”

his foot is not right. he has no push or speed. his change of direction is awful...with that said, he doesn't seem to spend anytime in the film room neither, because he can't recognize plays nor diagnose. always in the wrong place, taking wrong angles and making wrong moves.

lets call this what it is...bad contract. a favor from jones to his business partner...lets move on already....

Yeah what does it matter that one of the highest paid guys on the team can’t play football. Not a big deal at all.

Looks like a guy who's doing everything he can to not get injured even at the cost of actually playing defense. I understand his mentality, but you can't play that way in the NFL. He's shown flashes, but still makes way too many business decisions and can't cut on a modern NFL level. He's a consistent liability. He needs to be replaced.

ya know what....you;re right! That looks like me at 50 playing pickup basketball. Not setting picks not taking charges. Just trying to not get hurt!.

And now at 57, I can;t play at all.....with arthritis in hip...Jaylon looks even more like me!.

He runs with more gimp than my 97 year old grandmother who’s had double hip replacement and chronic arthritis for 25+ years.

But he continues to play every down at the highest level of the sport. I’m embarrassed

Ah...you beat me to it woot

So what happened from 2018 to today in his game?

The video everyone is showing of him jogging after Hopkins looks terrible. He looks like he can't get his legs going.

Agreed. I'd actually like to know what happened.

Maybe he had a physical setback or some other type of ailment which prevents him from changing direction and exploding.

I just really hope it's not completely attributed to stupidity and laziness.

Nothing new I’ve been saying it for a while now... You will never get the respect of the players until you bench sorry *** scrubs like Jaylon.. I would cut him if I was the coach and if Jerry has a problem with it I would hand over my resignation.

no I was claiming that he was middle of the pack. Second alternate for middle linebacker in the NFC was literally middle of the pack.

Even "middle of the pack" disproves the drivel like this thread that say he sucks and should be benched. I looked to see if the alternates were picked in the order they finished the voting from coaches/players/fans.

If there are 16 NFC teams with each having 1 or 2 Inside LBs, the middle of the pack guys are like 10th out of the group. Jaylon clearly wasn't in the top five that year that were the first picks, but if he was in the 4 - 7 range (out of 20) where they picked the alternates it still puts him clearly above average.

I've never said Jaylon was better than Bobby Wagner, but that Pro Bowl appearance is proof that "Jaylon sucks, he should be benched" is fan nonsense. DLaw was that fan target years ago, then it was Dak Prescott.

Hey Trollz, the guy who spent all of 2018 saying "Dak Prescott spazzes out in the pocket" has started new threads for you!

Weho is a lot more fun than the Central California trailer park you live in.

Ah, your hurt feelings taste so good.

BTW, I know you’re uneducated and doing the best you can, but Palo Alto’s not in Fresno. Secondly, San Luis Obispo is Central Coast, the same as Santa Barbara, Monterey, et cetera.

In fact, San Luis Obispo is closer to the Pacific than WeHo you unaccomplished hack.

:lmao:

To be fair middle of the pack in 2019 literally has nothing to do with Jalen Smith's play and attitude in 2020. I don't think he should benched but it is very concerning (injury ? Too content ? Attitude ? Poor coaching ? Too many reps ?)

SLO is as close to being Santa Barbara as you are to starting at QB for the Cowboys. You are a nobody and you prove it on a daily basis.

Speaking of unaccomplished hacks, I've asked you for years to list your accomplishments. Its seems to have topped out at a cow college bachelors, let us know when you want to add to the list.

It almost looks like he doesn't trust himself and/or his leg which begs the question...why is he even out there then? Why was he given the extension?

For sure, I think the overriding thing is the transition to the new defense and most of the players on defense were too tentative because they weren't confident in their assignments. On top of that Jaylon has loafed like the 4th quarter but some of it is that no Will is going to play well if the DL isn't keeping OL off them. To me its the "defeat is an orphan" thing but this being Dallas and this being the Internet, every idiot troll comes out of the woodwork on the issue.

Luuuulz, you uneducated hack...let me help you. Santa Barbara is a Central Coast city, as is San Luis Obispo, Monterey, et cetera. Please dispute that so I can embarrass you some more. I can’t help you if the WyoTech curriculum didn’t include a geography course.

[yep, totally next Fresno]

Why would I and for what, lol?

The best part is I do know about you.

You infamously tried claiming you were affiliated with CalTech because you “walked across the campus everyday;” when asked about your illustrious military career all you could muster up is “i gOTz my dD-tWo14!!!”; when you couldn’t figure out a basic math problem you got caught doctoring my post to remove context....shall I go on?
