So no more threads on his recovery and whether or not he'll be able to contribute to our playoff push? :(

Hey, there are always Randy Gregory threads to look forward to. BTW, what's up with Gregory?

Either Lucky is going to be released, or maybe Morris. Only explanation of why Morris is so seldom used, as if they fear an injury settlement.
May also be Dunbar. They gave him opportunities this week to showcase. He didn't do too well.

I have never understood the oganization's love affair with Dunbar. Decent player, has never done a whole lot, but year after year has a role. Broaddus says Jerry loves him. I really don't know.

Remember there was a few games, I think it was a couple of years ago, where Dunbar was our best offensive threat? Then he got injured. I guess they haven't forgotten about that, thinking he'll get back to being quite a weapon catching passes out of the backfield.

For that to happen, they would actually have to throw him some passes out of the backfield. They take Zeke off the field, put Dunbar in there and he ends up pass blocking. If they really want to use Dunbar as a weapon, why not do something to get him a mismatch? Put him and Zeke in there at the same time, line Dunbar in the slot or something. We seem to be losing creativity in the play design and play calling.

Matt Mosley said in his mail bag the other day that he thinks Jaylon is a long shot to play next season FWIW.

Jaylon was a long shot to play when he was drafted, as in ever play. You can't rehab a nerve, and the longer it takes to come back the less likely it ever comes back.

But if it does we could really have something.

I may be imagining this, but I thought i read something about 18 months from the injury to neeve firing and if it doesnt happen by that time its extremely unlikely that it does fire.

They are not gonna carry 5 RB's. Could be Dunbar was being given a last chance to show something to the coaches last night, and if so, that came out very badly for him.

Lucky isn't going anywhere per Jerrah...he already undermined Red and confirmed it. What a joke he is sometimes.

I doubt Garrett wanted to cut Lucky. He does dirty work - special teams, blocking.

Being disappointed in a player and making that clear doesn't mean you want to cut him - it means you want to see hard work to get out of the dog house.

McFadden is a nice 3rd type. He's certainly more of a running threat and he's a solid blocker.

Sucks that we won't get to see Jaylon this year.

But the LB corps as a whole seems to be improving by the week. Lee's been dominant, and Hitchens/Wilson have elevated their play.

You were expecting to see Jaylon play this year?
