For that to happen, they would actually have to throw him some passes out of the backfield. They take Zeke off the field, put Dunbar in there and he ends up pass blocking. If they really want to use Dunbar as a weapon, why not do something to get him a mismatch? Put him and Zeke in there at the same time, line Dunbar in the slot or something. We seem to be losing creativity in the play design and play calling.
You want to take Beasley off for Dunbar?

I don't.

Get rid of Lucky, not needed. Would love to see Darren coming in for a few series.

By next year..he will have been out a year and a half.

Not good.

But this is how we address LBer..

with guys like McLain and Smith..

and try to coach up Hitchens and recycle Durant.

No wonder we can't stop the run nor rush the passer.

Gimme a break....we aren't a 3/4 D that rushes the QB with our LB'ers. We are a 4/3 bend but don't break scheme that dearly needs better D.Ends to rush the passer. If we had 1 or 2 we'd probably be undefeated. Problem isn't the D.

Matt Mosley said in his mail bag the other day that he thinks Jaylon is a long shot to play next season FWIW.

This can't be accurate, right? That seems like a ridiculous claim this far out.

I pray he's wrong.

I don't.

I don't want to do anything with Dunbar, but if they are going to insist on playing him, put him in a position to succeed ever so often. Otherwise, he's just going to get denounced as sucking every week here.

He still has lingering nerve damage that not only clouded his ability to play this season, but possibly ever again.

The optimistic Jones, however, has consistently sold the idea that Smith could play this year. He was placed on the non football injury list even though the Cowboys doctors had expectations of him playing.

But Jones used it as a beacon of hope.

He said as much last Friday on his radio show on 105.3 The Fan.

“We don’t have him on permanent [injured reserve] because we really haven’t given up that he could have enough nerve regeneration that he could compete,” Jones said. “I don’t know where that is, only God knows. But on the other hand, I do know how he’s rehabbed. I do know what he’s about. He’s even more than we had expected.

I hear you.

Problem is..

LBer has been an undermanned position for us for years..

way back to drafting Bobby Carpenter.

Its a conga line.

I really wonder if moving Lee for the end of the season to MLber might be worth it.

He was our best LB and teams can scheme away from him where he is.

I would give him some snaps to see.

Broaddus said today he thinks either Alfred morris or Andrew gatchkar will get cut for McFadden today. I am curious to see who it is.

I personally would swap McFadden for dunbar but I doubt they do that.

it will be odd if we have all these running backs.

We all knew that getting JSmith back this year was a long shot but optimism doesn't cost a thing

We are fans so of course we hoped for the best.......being a hater isn't any fun....yeah you won, he won't play this year....you are a genius

Wilson and Hitchens have stepped up and brought some thump recently

Maybe the game has finally slowed down for them as they say

Zeke had 24 carries against the Giants and Morris had none. Maybe the writing is on the wall. In any case, I'm one of the very few who is excited to see McFadden coming back. Last year he had almost 1100 yards in 11 starts, and he can do it all. Hopefully we can put him in for Zeke without the whole offense seeming to deflate like it does now when Zeke is on the sidelines.
