Yes I think he deserves his own thread.

Shouldn't be on the field. I understand that its injuries that put him in this position but even then I think there were plenty of LBers available that could do a more serviceable job.

He is a liability in pass and run defense, he gets taken out of the play easily, is always a step slow and is not physical at all.

Maybe he can turn it around as he grows but I can't wait until Hitchens and Lee are back and IMO we relied too heavily on this guy being a factor. Big mistake.

If Hitchens and Lee were healthy he probably wouldn't be on the field. That's hardly his fault.

Gee, it's almost as if he's a rookie playing football for the first time in a year and a half, while still wearing a brace for drop foot. I can't believe he's not an All Pro, yet.

He was not expected to play these many snaps. Was suppose to ease him into the game he will be fine. Still recovering and getting into the speed of the game, he has not played football for awhile. Hitch really tore that plan though so hes doing whath e can.

Well it obviously was but it sucked and I knew it then and it's showing it's ugly head.

We'll see.

I actually think the Rams are pretty good

Always had talen. A real QB. Wade Phillips is a hall of fame coordinator

Game had me worried all along

Blame the Jones boys for this one they picked him they wanted to get a cheap number one pick and he didn't help last year it doesn't look like he's going to help this year maybe someday in the future but he really shouldn't be on the field right now he's not ready

brace is fine. If healthy person wore brace you wouldn't notice. Problem is he can't fully feel the foot plant. Its why he tries to build up momentum almost like he is running in place. He is trying to rely on muscle memory for foot rather than feel.
This is interesting. Is it true? I have always wondered why he looked like he was running in place before taking off. I just figured it was the technique he used in college.

Haha..
He already tried this failed strategy. So let me play along for a quick second...so what credentials would one need to ask someone what credentials they have? Guess what? I’ve got em..

Cool story.

Besides I didn’t second guess his analysis. I asked for his credentials and now here we are..
Right, instead of actually discussing the topic at hand. The play on the field.

Hey maybe you can watch the All 22 and come back and tell us all how bad Jaylon and Dez both are.
You have been so right on Dez I’m sure your getting tired of watched Dez’s routes over and over...
Btw..didn’t you say your credentials would surprise us?
The only surprise we got was you avoiding stating these credentials. Interesting.

Here you go again.

Why don't we actually get to the topic of the thread. Tell me how Jaylon Smith is helping our defense right now.

Not for or against Jaylon but stats can be deceiving

For example Jeff Heath finished with 6 tackles....but we all know he played like crap.
Just looking at the tackle totals doesn't show the entire picture. Some tackles are tackles for loss ( great ones), stuffed at the LOS or fir 1-2 yd gain ( good ones ), and then you have those where the running back is trucking you and you're holding on for dear life around his ankles/feet, until another homie comes and finishes him, or he trips up and he gains like 6-7 yds

Linebackers on average weight 15-25 lbs more than running backs. They are supposed to shed blocks, and deliver punishment to running backs.

Watch this and tell me what you think. Be honest and don't lie...god is watching

I think an OL got a block on him that would have flattened or shoved Lee back as well.
Then I see him run the play down and see the DT committed to the tackle. I don’t believe it would be in anyone’s best interest if he stuck him head in at the end. Overall when watching that play I don’t see anything alarming. Maybe it’s just me.

Heck based upon the opening play I think his brother may be a better linebacker.

I agree with that.
