Honestly, the best part of this is Sean Lees' qoute. He never goes out of his way to praise other players. Sure he'll give "coach speak" and say all the right things, but he doesn't usually say, so and so is dominated.

I'm unsure as to what Lee has said about others but I think it's safe to say Lee and Jaylon have bonded. Jaylon is taking advice from the right player, anyway. He really couldn't have picked a better guy to act as his mentor. Jaylon is just a special individual that people gravitate to.

Darn. My gif didn't work.
The most important thing is that you tried.

the thing to look at those who are being pessimistic is to look at their statements from say a year ago moving forward. You will find the great majority of the pessimists now were pessimists then. They HATE to admit they were wrong so they will continue to try and claim they are still right despite the clear preponderance of evidence that they were ALWAYS wrong.
Human nature.

Nah My beef was that you don't spend the 34th pick in the draft on might, If and should. Sometimes bad decisions turn out right. But good teams minimize bad decisions.

It's not really news, since the regeneration has been reported already, but more confirmation of it is always nice.

What's not so good is hearing he's going to be 'dominant players' according to Sean Lee. You can already see the 'too many men on the field' penalties coming in that next GB game.

I thought maybe it was a multiple personalties disorder or something

The boys felt that Jaylon would recover. And be what his potential appeared to be. You do not seem to be able to understand that the entire draft is a gamble. Jaylon Smith before the injury was projected to be a top 5 pick. giving up a year but getting a top 5 pick at 34 is a good decision.

I'd be inclined to agree with that, especially so at this point in time. The staff took a pretty bold gamble and it appears to be paying off, although we'll know for sure when TC and the regular season kicks in. Jaylon is definitely making a hit with his fellow players and that is always a benefit that pays long term dividends. I'm sure most of us are anxious to see how Jaylon makes out in the weeks and months to come. I'm in 100%. :)

All this nerve regeneration talk of happening or not happening is getting on my nerves.........

I mean some people act as of his leg was amputated and the team is claiming it has almost grown completely back. So you are skeptical that a leg can grow back......so I guess a nerve can't heal over time, that was stretched and not severed.....

I mean dang, look at Bobbit, he had something cut off and was reattached and he he made "films" after that. Now that kind of performance can surely give hope to playing football.....LOL?...

All Broaadus and Mickey are giving their opinion of a 2 hours practice or what ever of him doing drills and side work, not team drills, or from what I read anyway. The team sees him everyday, and Jaylon doesn't seem like the type to make crap up. Though as a whole, none of them are going to say it's not working very well either. But I don't think they are just over hyping it. If they are and he can't play at a high level, then they really have lost all credibility. Though some say they don't have any at all.

Myself, even though I think he will be just fine. Though he may start off slower than we hope. And to some that will be a failure and the negative nancies will abound.. But I will wait until TC. And then I expect about the same the first few weeks. Sideline work every other day, then limited team work, adding a bit more each day.

But we will get 1 million posts on this until TC. I just bought a 100 pound bag of popcorn......

Hold off at this point in time he is far from a top five pick in the "OTA's of 2017". We are not playing Madden, he has to perform and be both robust and resilient to carry that moniker of top five talent. I agree the draft is all a gamble, not all bets are the same and this one is still not determined IMO. Second round player ought to contribute pretty quickly no matter the pedigree or the team has lost out on some potential.

Well...I guess I'll be the one to say it since nobody else has the guts...So what? Good for him. Question I have is can he play? Been watching all the highlight reel stuff from his college days....If the Cowboys plan is for him to play in the middle(and by all accounts it is)...I think they are making a huge mistake. He looks like a strong side LBer w/ decent coverage skills...that can come off the edge on the blitz. When is the last time we played in the 4-3 and can say the Cowboys had a good blitzing LBer? Been quite a while. I just hope the plan of him playing in the mddle is bogus. He tackles too high. Doesn't bend @ the knees to get low enough to take on blockers. He will get destroyed in the run game taking on guards. And really..I wouldn't trust that knee inside the box. Too easy for O-lineman to take shots @ it. Get him in space...I think that's the best bet..let him fly to the football. Wouldn't shock me to see them flop Wilson to the middle. But then again we are talking about the Cowboys...and the way they develope players....Half of the time they find a way to mess it up. Wouldn't be the first player that it would seem so obvious on how to use him....but this staff does just the opposite. I just hope this kid lives up to the hype...but I got a feeling the fans are gonna be disappointed....and it won't necessarily be his fault because he will be asked to do something he's not very good @.
