Jeff Heath

I'm not saying Heath is an All-Pro but the Safety position is one of the weakest in the entire league right now

Im just not understanding your point of view. Jeff Heath is NOT good. He needs to be replaced. Saying that Woods isn't good either or that safety play is weak league wide doesn't change that.

I have been saying for a few years now the Cowboys defense can never be great until they get the impact safety they're missing. Heath is inconsistent but his tackling today was abysmal. Frankly, the entire defense has me worried going into the playoffs. Manning and the Giants abused them today. Teams have figured they can beat Byron Jones with deep stuff.
What teams figured that out?

No but I get sick of people ripping on him like he's the worst ever. Woods isn't any better and he's made some plays and I'm not saying he's perfect but there's alot of safeties that get burnt in this league now
He is horrible. Our safeties are terrible and the weak link in our D.

The Safety position is just weak around the entire league. Guys are running wide open everywhere. We all see that

So since jarwin got 3 Td on seam routes or between the hash marks.....the Giants ss and fs might even be worse than ours

Barkley burns about everyone, jarwin to this point not so much

The Giants defense was horrid today.

.. Will be targeted non-stop all game long against the Seahawks and any team we play going forward.

Dude was abused all game long and is a glaring weak link
Good thing there is 10 other guts on the field with him.

So are you guessing or do you make it a point to watch safety play on Sundays?

Heath is still garbage.
I mean being that its a passing league and teams are scoring at will? Saying safety is tough to find in this league isn't that far fetched. Its been that way for some time. You accept the Jeff Heath's and be happy you aren't overpaying for a playler of his caliber.

I will never accept some scrub like Heath being a starter. Hes terrible. Glad the Jones boys understand safety is our biggest need even if you don't.

You missed my point. What I'm saying is you aren't going to have a All Pro at every position. You are going to have to settle for being serviceable at some positions.

Heath is reliable. Upgradeable? Sure. But your hate for him is based on you seeing two highlights of him getting stiff armed twice dictate how bad or good he is. Its ridiculous. And I'm not even a fan. I've come to accept that he's not nearly as bad as we make him out to be.

Nothing reliable about Heath. Nothing serviceable about Heath.

My hate for him has been well documented ever since he has been starting and getting exposed weekly.

I know it is. I see you do it. I guess its become your schtick. Its fine. Like I said I'm not his biggest fan myself. Hopefully they find someone better and keep upgrading position as much as they can. But it ain't happening now or the season.

Both Jones said TE and safety are the teams biggest needs.

his coverages were fine. his tackling sucked.

He struggles tacking big backs and TE's. Good but not great player, typically in position, hits hard. Needs to work on catching and wrapping up.
