We tried to trade for him twice. Confirmed. If he is healthy and if another team doesn't offer him a ridiculously high contract, I like our chances.

Ideally, this team is in win now mode. Earl Thomas for the next 2-3 years is a significant upgrade over any safety we have on the roster now. We have to stop being afraid to get better just because Jerry used to throw around bad contracts.

"Big Play" Jeff Heath has 1 whole interception, 1 forced fumble, and all of 5 passes defended all season. That is his actual stat line for 2018.

He is not the player Fan Boys here try to pretend he is.

The defensive effort wasn’t there in the second half. A few players seemed to be sleep walking. The defense is going to have to step up big against Seattle. Russell Wilson has been a Cowboys killer he’s 4-1 against us.

Of course it is. But how big of a need is it? When we needed a pass rusher.......we stooped to Greg Hardy because he was in his prime, young and one of the best rushers in the league. We were desperate. How I judge their desperation is how I judge what their biggest needs are....would they overspend for Earl Thomas? I don't see it. So he can sit here and say we need a safety but what type of resources do they want to put into getting one?

Lets put it this way...........................I consider a guy like Damien Wilson to be a guy you can have and not be too worried. He is a very solid player. Not a pro bowl type, but the guy is steady and does his job week in and week out. Not a lot of big plays like fumbles, picks, sacks, ect...ect... but he isnt a WEAKNESS in this offense.

Whiff Heath is a total and complete liability back there. He is terrible. Its not a situation where "cant have all pros at every position" applies. And especially being a safety you are the last line of defense back there. Simply cant have a guy like Heath manning that position.
