Perhaps to be running game coordinator while McCarthy is passing game coordinator especially considering Skip Peete is not coming back for RB coach.
This is very, very likely.
Dallas will name a QB coach to work with Dak.
The OC will not call plays so will be some type of glorified run game coordinator.
Mike will be HC/OC. which is far as he prolly has one last go round to win big or go home.

Matt Rhule's Co-OC @ Baylor from 2017-2019 and followed him to the NFL. While I don't know anything else about him, this DOES tell me that McCarthy is looking for someone that may have some new, innovative things in thier arsenal.
And help scheming the run game.

Possibly but he's apparently viewed as a pretty good run coordinator and works well with RBs.

This could be a case where McCarthy, while calling plays, wants someone in there that can design/develop a really good run game.
Moore was on record saying he didnt believe in outside runs lol. Who says that as an OC?

All I know after Rhule was released was Carolina’s running game became a force. That’s why they almost won the South.
Yep. I believe Rhule got fired after the 5th game. Over the remaining 11 games, they had 7 where they rushed for more than 150 yards, including a 223 yard game against Seattle, a 232 yard game against Atlanta and a 320 yard game against the Lions. There were a couple clunkers in there though like a 21 yard game against the Steelers and a 36 yard game against the Ravens.

Makes sense especially if Mike plans on calling plays.

Yeah. I dont know much about their OL, but Foreman and Chubba Hubbard at RB arent exactly household names. Like you said, they were running the heck out of the ball.

And that win against Detroit is the game that pretty much knocked them out of the playoffs
