Jeopardy: McNabb now blames this guy for his own Super Bowl meltdown...

I thought he was going to blame it one the fact that he put too much soy sauce on his lo mein...

That is seriously a bad excuse if it even qualifies as one...

But it is over; he had his chance, he played really well that season and postseason, and if he doesn't replicate his play again he is going to be gone.

At risk of being considered another Eagle troll, I think the New England patriots had a little something to do with holding off the Phildelphia Eagles by 3-point to win the Superbowl in 2004.

BTW, McNabb isn't the only NFC-East QB who gets nervous during the last plays of an important game.

Hurrieth thou cometh oh regular season!

I am not bashing you or your Eagles ( or at least not on this particular post:D ) but Mcnabb ALMOST had that suspect pass to Westbrook in the endzone picked off, and didn't Mcnabb throw a pick at the end of the game if my memory serves me right?

Touche about the bolded comment.

Shocking that this Eagles' apologist would offer some ill-informed 'spin-control' and as usual, it's up to the usual standards......

Shocking too that this Cowboy philanthrapist would surface only to quip no connection to the topic at hand. I think I'll ignore any flaming clashes with him until he learns to post to the point; and not point at the poster.

Good day to you.

What's sad is that it was known that McNabb was up at the Maxim Super Bowl party the night before, then got sick/tired. Now it's Owens' fault. I think this really has been the last straw for me with McNabb (I'm from Syracuse and a Syracuse fan and usually a McNabb supporter). His words excuses these days are getting ridiculous.

You do that.

And take the lame excuse-making back to Eagles land with ya!

How original. Actually I'm shocked that it took 27 posts before someone decided to pull this ancient artifact out. Very creative!

How long do you think the bashing will go back and forth? Any takers? Two pages? Three? heh

As long as the resident Eagles 'punching bag' insists on trying to spin McNabb's 'blame game'.

Let's ask him if he still thinks Ryan Fowler is playing for the Eagles!

:lmao2:

Can something be an artifact if it's still relevant? And does it matter if it's still funny?

Maybe McFlabb watched " Any Given Sunday" too many times and thought he was "Steamin" Willie Beamon

And herein lies the difference:

How did Romo conduct himself after the fact, after his rattled nerves allegedly caused him to mishandle the snap and the game was lost?

He willingly shouldered the onus of blame. In fact, he took the onus without prodding before it was even offered him.

Can you honestly say that McNabb has done the same in this situation?

Not only that, but it's ridiculous to compare a guy in his first playoff game with a guy who had already played in 4 consecutive conference championships. Romo led the offense to a possible late victory if not for the mysterious Witten call that should've made it 1st and goal. Also, The Bobble was done as a holder, not as a QB.

Instead of crying about T.O., McNabb has other issues to deal with: QB who was drafted to replace him and playing the whole season. T.O. didn't cry when he dropped a pass. He stepped up by admitting he had problems with his hand. Maybe T.O. was not the problem in the Eagles locker room.

McFlabb choked. 'Nuff said.

Yes, he did choke.
But, as usual, he is blaming others and feigning sickness/injury.
Some things never change.

Can it be? Can McNabb actually pass TO in the number of issues one has?

Bottom line: TO had 9 catches for over 100 yards in SB. He was there. He was playing. He was effective. No question. If you take those numbers and avg them out over a season it comes out to roughly.... 140 catches for 1,600 plus yards. Where is the doubt?

Even if one is not a Pro-TO fan... McNabb is making this alot easier to understand.
