well once the season starts there will be alot of them, the saints are going to run away with that awful division.

I am assuming the saints will be the 1 or the 2 seed.

Not so sure about that. I assumed the same last year. If Garcia can stay healthy they can put up some points, and then their defense will help them win games too. Carolina has Delhomme back and healthy so its hard to discount them.

Atlanta, well....they just don't seem to have much of a chance for the next couple of years. The same was said about us after the 05' season, so who knows. No team has repeated as NFC South Champions since the division started around 6 years ago. In fact, the team that was dead last each year ended first every year.

oh, and there are bandwagon fans for every team. Always will be. And I have seen some pretty obnoxious Cowboy fans, and Saints fans, and Giant fans. But most obnoxious of all, is the Eagle fan lol I think we can all pretty much argree on that, right? Even the Saints fans may rank them above their hated rival, the falcon fan.

Nothing is hated more than the Falcons to almost every Saints fan. Nothing.

To be fair, we have a good couple stupid Dallas fans here as well that get the same treatment. So if we are bias, it really is against stupid.

I'll agree that most Saints fans I know personally are not big Cowboy fans. I think some of it has to do with the fact that Dallas has won so much and the Saints have not, and that in big areas of Louisiana they broadcast the Cowboys games on the local channels instead of home games.

I was always a Saints fan first, since I grew up there, and rooted for the Cowboys second when I moved here in the late 80's. In the 90's, the Saints would mathematically eliminate themselves from the playoffs by week 6 so at least there was another team to watch in the post season. That and all of my close friends were Cowboys fans. The first two of the three Superbowl teams were something fun to watch.

I have recently followed the Cowboys less as their personel decisions are those I don't agree with. T.O. was the final straw and I probably won't start truely pulling for them again until he is gone.

I like john fox, but I dont see that team being a threat or a playoff team. Delhomme wasnt very good in 06 and even with stewart they have to prove they can run the ball.

Atlanta might be the worst team in the league. So that sums them up.

Imo, Your saints looked better from october on than tampa did. I just dont they can compete for that division again. Maybe the defense will carry them, I just have a hard time believing that again this year.

I really think the saints wipe the floor with that division and get around that 12 win mark. Which I think will be good enough for that 1 or 2 seed. The teams in the east are going to slaughter each other this year so I have a hard time believing any teams from the east will do better than 11 wins.

I do agree that it will be the Saints or the Panthers to climb back from their poor '06, but my money is on the Panthers doing it. Even if I do prefer the Saints.

I can see Indy and N.E. each going 12-4 or better. They really haven't lost much from last year.

well there is no doubt about that. If the jets have pennington at qb then the pats really only have 5 tough games all year.

and three of the 5 are buffalo twice and seattle.

the other two are Indy and san diego.

I can honsetly see the pats going 14-2. But the regular season wont matter because at some point they will have to beat san diego or indy most likely again.

I was talking about the nfc east and 11-5 though originally. I dont think any team in the east can do better than 11-5

Hostile just doesn't like stupid.

So... feel free to talk about anything here - even Cowboys related stuff if you want to chime in (we do like views from outsiders). But keep the stupid out of it, and you'll be fine.

We have Skins fans, Eagles fans, Giants fans, the occasional Patriot/Bill/Packers fans that post here....

And the only ones who get this type of treatment are the ones who insist upon stupidity. The ones here to talk football, talk football. And we respect them.
Thank you for backing up exactly what I said.

All 4 teams in the NFC east have a chance to win that division. Each series could see a split w/l.

Yep.

I think any of the 4 are good enough to win the superbowl too.

Its just going to be a test of who can survive the season. They are going to beat each others brains in.

I put the Commanders at the bottom of the NFC east just due to the QB position. But then again, Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson have won Superbowls.

what kind of goofy logic is this?

This board didnt exist till 2004. SOme people like myself posted on another board and didnt know about this one. I started posting here when I discovered the site.

IN fact before I moved I had never even realized message boards were out there.

So how would you measure someones fandom by that. That are plenty of things to measure it by, when you sign up to a message board or how many posts you have certainly is not one of them.

Cowboyszone was formed in 2004? I thought it was a little older than that.

Also, I have to agree with Andrew76021 somewhat about the actual city of Dallas being full of bandwagoners. I was born in Dallas and been here all my life and Dallas is definately a front-running city.

We joke about it at work all the time.

I thought it was 04. Maybe I am wrong. I didnt really think it was a big deal.

I know there are plenty of bandwagon fans here and everywhere else. Like I said earlier I can spot the bandwagon fans a mile away.

Its a reason why so many people sell tickets for profit here. I will never understand that, but If you are just a casual fan to which texas stadium has many I can sort of understand, sort of.

And yes this is a front running city, but realistically most cities are. That is not exclusive to Dallas!

I see, so I point out that the Packers might have little choice but to trade Favre to the Vikings, which you and Velvet Underground and about 100 others said would never happen, which is then suggested in several news articles yesterday, and I'm the stupid one?

Then, a number of posters suggest that I'm the one insulting posters in every one of my threads, and then Velvet comes back with the "stupid" remark and you go with the "new, little friend" jab?

Yup, classic alright! :laugh2:

We launched CowboysZone in April of 2004. We did have a previous site called thecowboys.net.

Regardless of when the site launched the members here do not fit the definition of bandwagon fans. To be on a bandwagon you have to be a casual fan who only follows the team when it is winning. Very few here are casual fans. There is passion.

The term bandwagon is a hollow insult hurled at fans of teams who are successful.

No, it is not a big deal.

I joined in April of 2004 (at least that is what my profile says) and I could have sworn Cowboyszone was around a year or so before I joined. I posted at another board for about a year and a half before joining here, but I knew this site existed while posting on another board.

No biggie.
