Jerry doesn't create the glam, the Cowboys do. The spotlight burns bright.
He won't sell it.
Try 100% of the time he has owned it. 75% of the time woudl be 15 years. Who was the GM the other 5 years?
More bad math. To reach 90% of the time we haven't won a playoff game in Jerry's 20 years as GM it would mean we haven't won on in 18 years instead of 12.
And still more bad math. It was "Jimmy's Team" for 25% of the time Jerry has been owner. 40% of Jimmy's year were championship years. We have won 3 Championships in Jerry's 20 years. 3 divided by 20 is 15%.
I did not get the calculator out and crunch the numbers exactly because I am just trying to get a point across. In regards to Jerry being the GM 75% of the time I know he has held the tiltle of GM 100 % but Jimmy was the real GM those 5 years and 15/20 = 75%. That one I don't need the calculator for
.
When I bring up the not winning a playoff game 90% of the time in that 75% that is only winning playoff games in 94 and 95 the 2 years after Jimmy was gone and Jerry was the undisputed practicing GM of this team. So 2 years divided by 15 is pretty much 13.33333333333 etc playoff year winning % after unnecessarily pulling out a calculator for a measly 3%. What are we Paul brown over here nickle and diming, lol? That's with 2 years of Jimmy's left overs from the championship teams Jimmy built.
I don't believe Jerry would sell the team, Stephen will be controlling it when Jerry is done. But my perception if you look at the history and how Jerry has structured the GM position the odds selling the team are just as good as a GM coming in here with a different name than Jones under JJ's ownership. The odds of JJ working on a different lifetime and there being a non Jones GM is even better than the above mentioned circumstances.
So sorry if I offended anyone by not giving exact calculated %'s but I didn't think 3-5% would hurt anyone and above is my rational for deriving the %'s I did in the earlier post. I believe they are very valid on approximations.
