Because you have no bloody idea what comes after Dak. You assume that moving on from him is going to be terrific and that the clouds will part and SB trophies and rings will rain from the sky. Most sane people remember what happened after Aikman retired and the years between that event and Romo's first game. Heck even after Romo's first year there were serious doubts about him. There were people calling to move on from Romo even after 5 years because his gunslinger style while exciting was always great at producing that backbreaking turn over that would lose you the game.
