Trying to stay on Thread topic.......where the easy mudslinging brings Dak in it every time. If not being honest about such, let's, at least be real.......there's enough areas to look at......if we're going to go off topic and fail to lift the rug up. you will not see all ants & roaches running all over the place. That's chasing the one fly in the room.
yeah, I still agree with you. It's everybody's fault but dak

If we spend all of our money on resigning Dak, CD and Micah who well expect s different result next year?

Which is why I'm in favour of seeing if we can get some firsts for CD and Micah, and letting Dak leave after his contract is up. Try to reset the cap clock with those moves, and using some of that to upgrade in free agency, meanwhile, we can either this year or next year find the replacement.

Guess what...unless Jerry want to tank a season or two, he will have to extend Dak again at about 50 million per season. He has a no tag, no trade clause in his current deal and has
Jerry over a log.
what would the difference be losing without dak and losing with dak? please make it make sense.

How old was Garrett?
Hardly an old timer was he?
Jerry should start liking coaches who can win in the playoffs!
Are you really allowed to coach in Dallas? Or do you have to check in with Jerry and get your game plan approved first.

The trade for Purdy says a lot. Regardless if you liked it or not, how it was done speaks volumes.

Not exactly......the "but Dak" was never implied. I'm just trying to figure why Dak seems to be the only problem mentioned, if we get off base about Jerry and Stephen. Dak is definitely an issue too. I just see plenty sitting in the problem room.

we know he extended the loser, but the loser gets his far share too.

Yes, and the FO not being proactive again with that. Last time they made a coaching change, they waited about a week before doing it. By the time they were done, the better choices were gone. They're doing that again.
Exactly how many of the teams needing a new HC have hired one? 1.

And exactly how has that hurt the Cowboys yet? It hasn't.

And how do you know the FO isn't being proactive?

Likely it won't matter because I expect McCarthy will be back.

Exactly, and it doesn't work against the physical teams. We need physical linebackers. Not safety linebacker hybrids. That needs to change.
Especially with LVE went down, but before LVE went down too. We got several holes and philosophies in question. Offensively and defensively. Did anyone selected in the draft perform well or promising, this year? The one move that panned out this year........PK Aubrey.

I got it Captain-Crash........too me a moment and forgot......I'm blaming Dak for the cold weather in the DMV (Commanders area) today.

As the OP stated, Jerry is where the problems start!
If Jerry is Your main issue, you should just follow another team. Jerry & Stephen are going to be running this team for many years. The Cowboy's franchise is going to be in the Jones family for generations.

I legitimacy think the Giants would have played a more competitive game Sunday. How can this be explained???? You're a 2 seed playing at home. Losing is one thing, but that was a legitimate 30 point blowout loss to a 7 seed. I dont care what the final score says.
They had already checked out mentally the week leading up to the game. That's the only reason I can come up with to explain what we saw.

Jerry and Stephen are the reason we are eliminated. No, not for the the reasons you think, although they are valid and can be included. No, where the real problem is that their attitude for the team in the offseason and during the trade deadline is the problem. Their "we like our guys" attitude will not win us a SB. You cannot win a SB on draft picks alone. You must have quality free agents being brought in.

Think about the weaknesses that we knew going into this season that we had. We had questions about our running game and questions about our LB group. You know who didn't have those questions? Jerry and Stephen! How do I know this? Because they didn't use free agency to fix these glaring issues, and, wouldn't you know it, when we played teams that require you to run it on them and stop the run, we got blown out. Safeties are not linebackers! Linebackers are not safeties! Get that through your thick heads, Stephen and Jerry!

Also, I'm irritated because, when you look at the current contenders, they didn't just sit back and like their guys. When they saw a problem, they found ways to fix it. They were proactive. The Cowboys may as well have kept their HQ at Valley Ranch in Irving if they're going to be this inactive in free agency. There were players to be had. Yet, when free agency started, Jerry just wanted to be in his yacht. If he wants to be on his yacht so badly, then why not sell the team, move to Key West, and be yacht brothers with Jimmy? We need FO people who are proactive when they see a problem that literally everyone is aware that we have.
No, you just substitute an over simplistic view on spending and roster building that spends at the highest cost values instead of just being wise in drafting and giving full development on an extended contract period. Done the way conducted at present, a team can both improve roster and adjust in between for affordable free agents.

The team at present is arriving at a quality talent level with top shelf positional players. Injury is always the element that destroys general team strengths. Not expensive free agents.

A continual blame routine in applying an unmanagable accountability standard instead, no matter the strengths and concepts to use in further development, actually is a disjointed approach. There are actually ways to achieve and extend progress beyond throwing away 3 consecutive 12 winning rosters and using 2 sentence whipping boys and blowing up through sacrifices as well as system improvements paid for up to the present.

The vulnerable yet manageable elements aren't followed as to focus...blame is hounded. Oh yea, Jerry is the owner. Go ahead and talk crap instead and DEMAND him to sell his privately owned organization. Maybe the Detroit Head Coach will replace the Pope as well...There is more to the picture than just blame.
