Jerry and Stephen are the reason we are eliminated

I'm not necessarily talking about the QB. I do think the time has come to draft another one either this year (and let him sit for one year behind Dak) or next year. However, other areas of the team could and should have been addressed in FA.
Jerry does not have enough ammo to get up high enough to get a top 3 qb this year.

Isn't the cap flexible? And if we're that badly over the cap, then maybe they need to consider trading players to rebuild. I mean, how can we be over the cap after 5 years of not much in the way of activity? I'm just frustrated because it feels like the FO isn't doing enough to put this team in a position to succeed. The whole organisation isnt doing enough.
Jerry spends most all of his cap each year before the season ends. Right now, the Boys are 12 million over the cap.

He could if he wanted to trade Micah, CD, or Dak. Problem is trading for a top 3 QB in the draft does not guarantee success. Especially with an old depleted OLine and no running game. Not a good combo for a young QB.

Fans can whine about Dak, McCarthy-defense etc. The main constant for 29 years have been Jerry and to a lesser extent Stephen. Until this changes you can bring in Mahomes and it'll be the same story. Gives fans a good scape coat though. First Romo now Dak... Whose next??

What I want is to see the Cowboys in the Super Bowl.
I believe that would be every team and their players coaches and fan base would love that but that's not a reality that that happens yearly but the one thing that we know that's not gonna change is the front office the ownership of this team so you might as well just accept it and talk about the other things we hope Jerry so old that he's so upset and shell shocked over this loss that he makes a big move or 10..... That's the only hope we have he looked distraught shocked as we were and maybe he's so old right now and knows his time is so short that he's willing to get rid of a coach that's won 36 games in three years... I mean got over forty wins faster than any coach I remember but is that enough to save his job..?? Hopefully when Dan Quinn announces he's leaving and hopefully he does leave that will wake Jerry up to realize while that change is gonna need to be made maybe he makes the rest of the changes and dominoes start to fall..

But the Jones family will have control of this team for a while so just settle in accept it we don't need posts on the front office and ownership because that's not gonna change but we can debate all the other things because they might change...

Which team would take Dak right now. You could trade Micah and CD together but, you would not get any team to give you a no 1 for them. No Way and No How.

Yeah, I'm with you. It's everybody's fault but dak. I wish we had Cedrick Wilson back to throw the ball though.
Trying to stay on Thread topic.......where the easy mudslinging brings Dak in it every time. If not being honest about such, let's, at least be real.......there's enough areas to look at......if we're going to go off topic and fail to lift the rug up. you will not see all ants & roaches running all over the place. That's chasing the one fly in the room.

I know it's not a yearly thing. The frustration that I have is that I've NOT had a chance to experience it since becoming a fan, and I'd like to at some point. You have. I haven't.

I think you could get at least a first for CD, and Micah could probably get at least a first as well with his pass rush abilities. Dak, probably not though.

Each of them are coming up on new contracts and they are going to want long term deals at 30+ per season. Good Luck with that!

Being inefficient at the LB position all year......there's your hint fellow Board posters. You're welcomed.

Yup…they are a big part of the macro issue, but the issue on game day came down to daks lack of big game ability to play well, DQ developing a horrendous game plan, and the team quitting when they didn’t have any faith dak could lead them back.

We’re not talking about Brady in the Super Bowl down 28-3, manning down in the afcc or maholmes down a few years back…this team has zero faith in the qb and they quit
And who negotiated the QBs contract?

If we spend all of our money on resigning Dak, CD and Micah who well expect s different result next year?

Exactly, and it doesn't work against the physical teams. We need physical linebackers. Not safety linebacker hybrids. That needs to change.
