Hes right...you run dak to set things up. You can literally run dak twice a game and make 20 other plays look like dak is about to run.....one thing about dak is you do have to respect his ability to run. Kind of like you have to respect wentz ability to run

Here's the problem.

This offense likely will stall if you just make Prescott a pure pocket passer. Teams simply don't respect his ability to throw the ball. Further, teams simply crash Elliott. Essentially the belief is Prescott can't beat you with the pass so crash Elliott and really stall the offense.

Prescott running helps loosen things up for Elliott. And if Elliott can get going that helps the passing game.

I don't know about running 10 times a game with Prescott but Stephen seems to want to go in the opposite direction. 5-6 runs a game seems fair to me and likely will have it's desired effect.

This exactly. He doesn’t need to run as often as Scam but he has to some to keep the defense honest on us

Ok, so my take on it is this, DP is NOT a pocket style passer, will he develop into one, who knows and only time will tell. What he is, is a running ROP QB, that's his game, you shackle him and we will se more losses less winning. Look back at ALL those other running QBs, Cunningham, Vick RG3 to name a few, remember what absolutely killed their careers, making them stand in the pocket and try to be a pure pocket passer.... its not going to happen, at least not this early in Dak's Career. Just look at Houston, Watson isn't running, there is no RPO in the game plan for him, and he looks totally lost behind center. No, we ain't got no Baker Mayfield guys, best we can hope for is he doesn't get a season ending injury...cause without him using his legs, this offense won't go no where soon...and yes, I guess that is a knock on Dak, but I ain't calling him a bum...

I read that Lebron's IQ tested to be 76. Not sure if that is true. You ever listen to him speak? Guy contradicts himself in the same sentence. What idiot calls himself the Chosen One. King James. An uber narcissist. As for Jerry - He is a marketing genius. He really is. Great oil man back in the day. Terrible GM. I’ll give ya that the guy has an ego the size of a continent but at the same time and I hate how he refers to himself in Godlike terms but he is an extremely smart businessman. You don’t build an empire like his if you’re below average intelligence. Got this from an article on LBJ —“LeBron James has not submitted any official IQ test results. However, his grades in school suggest that he was in the normal average range of student IQs (95 to 110).”

Pick his spots. Let it be known that he will run and that it's a component of the offense. He does not have the arm to take over a game but ... the threat of his running (which he does very well), will make it much easier for him to throw. I watched all the while he was Moo U in Starkville. It's certainly harder to do in the pros and that's why I say, pick your spots. The RPO is excellent as Dak is very comfortable in it - Just don't overdo.

Its not like we are protecting Aaron Rodgers here. Sorry but for Dak to be a good qb he also has to use his wheels. Dont take away one of his best skills in order to preserve mediocre play.

I would let Dak run on every play ... If he takes the option .

Yeah ... im good with that .

He is heavy and fast , i doubt he gets easily injured .

Dak ran a lot in college and didn't get hurt. He's built like a LB and has all the protections of a QB when he runs in the NFL. In actual run plays, he runs judiciously and conservatively.

He's good at the read option. If we don't use it, we're not getting all we can out of him.

We've got a running QB. We should use him as such. If all we want is a pocket QB, Dak is the wrong guy to be giving snaps to.

Here is the deal, first this shows who the head coaches really are! the jones boys !!
first stevie says dont run, then says use it to set other stuff up lol , how would you like to coach for him??

Now IMO a QB can get hurt in behind the line just as much as running with the ball.
if a QB is smart and coaches keep on him about running safe, it is actually much safer than dropping back to pass.
They have to slide or run out of bounds, and avoid the contact.
Dak had at least 2 runs where he did not avoid contact not smart, but coaches can correct that.
Wentz got hurt not avoiding contact, he thought he was a RB, same for RG3.

Dak needs to run from the pocket and on that rpo they were using with giants.

but since stevie is running the show, and JG will do what he wants with no question dak may not run at all this next game
Which is just plain stupid.
Running is part of Daks skillset to not let him use that defangs him.

I was going to pick dallas to win, but after reading this may have to change that to Seattle..
