And I’m fine with paying that price. This team has wasted 1st round picks for far less impact than I feel a great offensive and defensive coach pairing would bring.

I also feel that Payton would greatly prefer the Dallas job over any others.

I'm not. I like Payton but with Drew Brees at QB he like McCarthy won 1 SB. I don't think Payton is that big of a difference maker. Certainly not willing to give up 1st and likely more than just a 1st.

He says that about EVERY coaching staff EVERY year. He just flaps his gums and uhuh's to think he is important and he thinks every fan is a moron apparently.

Said it a million times, it doesn't matter who is standing on the sideline holding the position of head coach. That person is nothing more then a puppet. The names may change but the way this team operates stays the same. JJ makes the rules including how his coaches may coach and/or treats his players.

Do you believe Sean is willing to give up some control he’d have in other venues ?

You must know Payton is not an upgrade over McCarthy. Right?

I don't understand whats wrong with what he is saying. We have had back to back 12 win seasons.

We got 12 wins this season when no one on this forum believed we had the talent on our roster to do it. Seems like a credit to the coaching staff to me.

Archer wrote an article today with these quotes and mentioned that Jerry has always considered firing Chan Gailey, who made the playoffs both years as the head coach, a mistake.

I can certainly respect a different perspective.

I think he knows the Joneses very well and would be comfortable with the arrangement. And I think the pros of the roster and scouting department outweigh the cons. That’s my opinion anyway.

Of course he does he bought it and he's paying millions for it. This coaching staff has been at its worse towards the end of the season this year after such a strong start.

Fat Mikey is about as good of puppet as we could probably hope for .

I really can’t see Sean playing a puppet role . Much better full autonomy jobs available in AZ, and Den. Maybe LA.

And if he wants a total rebuild and closer to home . Houston

Why would any legit HC come here unless their phone isn’t ringing.
