I’m not hating on him. But while I can appreciate back to back double digit winning seasons, I can’t appreciate back to back first round playoff losses.

If that happens, I’m looking at what I feel is a potential upgrade.
You must know that if Vince Lombardi coached in Dallas it would be the same result.

Tell me which ones are not true. I’ll wait. Yah, that’s what I figured. Tell me again all the good stuff he does. I’ll wait again.
24 and 10 over the last 2 seasons which is outstanding.

Jerry is what makes this convo so dumb, I dont care if he fires MM because it doesnt really matter, bring in Payton or another legend (parcells?) there is only 1 thing that matters..JERRY are you going to hold the one person accountable that needs it- he is looking back at you in the mirror. Until this happens Bill Cheatacheck aint changing how this goes.

If we win this Monday it will be inspite of the GM creating the biggest circus he can before his team plays a playoff game...just imagine thats what he means by "I'll do anything" accept **** and let the game be played

Shouldn't you wait for them to lose in the playoffs before making a statement like this? Especially, when they are favored to win first game and are capable of beating anybody.
I hope we win this Monday night. If so, the following week we'll be at least 7point dogs and play like it. That is the makeup of this team. They win against a weak team, then read about how great they are, and get run over by a train the following week. End of season. Ultimately JJ and son go back to their comfortable offices, shuffle a few coaches and players and devise their marketing scheme to sell tickets and merchandise. Lather, rinse, repeat

Included in BOTH the Dallas Cowboy HC and QB 1 job description is the ability to perform your jobs well in spite of Jerry Jones.
So while the lion's share blame for lack of team success ultimately comes all the way back to the GM who both hired that HC and drafted that QB1...
That does not excuse the HC or QB1 from performing their jobs at a post season winning success level. Which both this HC and QB fail to do.

Not many here understand this.
The Head Coach and Quarterback don't get a free pass just because of Jerry.

It's part of their job description here.
Period.

So lets embrace the meaning of Insanity? Again i get the argument that we cant change the owner, but in all reality all this means is we change the names of the HC and QB we blame every 5 to 8 years because your first problem dictates your still going to have the 2nd problem.

That’s a fine perspective to take for the sake of discussion. But I’m more interesting in discussion and argument over what we think our ownership will do, not what we think we should do.

There is no way that the Cowboys would be a 7 point dog.

Yep, insanity to you and me.
BUT in Jerry's mind the assemblage of all the talent he gathers can win a trophy with any coach(or 500) just like Barry did with Jimmy's players.
That's the so called Jerry Way that he clings to in his skewed belief of coach selection and team building.

It's just he can't seem to draft enough or afford those HOF caliber players in the salary cap era to overcome weak coaching.

But to sign on as either the HC or starting QB with this team, you better believe Jerry's Way is THE major obstacle to consider in performing your job well.

For sure it is the problem, the thing is after 96 Aikmen and the rest coldn't overcome it either, we have had talent players even HOF coaches since and his way has ruined it everytime. Players and Coaches will get the blame and they will go away... but until the problem decides to correct himself it will just be the same, fans saying "Why can we never get a good coach or an elite QB" because the 1st problem makes this statement come true no matter the name in its place.

Not bury anything but you hire a coach you give him the time. This BS of people wanting to hire and fire coaches every couple of years is stupid. Could a complete collapse in Tampa cost him his job? It could. How about a win does a win get him respect by fans like yourself? Fans once said how Jerry like shiny new objects? yet fans are the one wanting the shiny new objects and then turn on them. If Dallas were to hire a new HC I would give him the chance to get the job done. Mccarthy has been here 3 year ,2 post season including this year. I don['t know about anyone else but I'm not lowering any bar I use a bit of common sense, you hire a coach you best damn well give him the chance to get it done.
Like Booger did with "The Clapping Carrot"??? Yeah, that really paid off. I've seen enough of MM to realize that he is not a great motivator, and he does next to NOTHING on gameday to tilt a game in our favor....his forte is suppose to be Offense, yet he couldn't talk to Junior about running the ball with 1:48 left at Jacksonville???
