Both questionable passers, but like you said, fluidity in running and overall play, such as quicker release, Hurts definitely has the advantage. QBs like Hurts and Dak are not the type of guys you will get consistent franchise play around them.Dak with running ability - much better runner than Dak ever was!
Hopefully the advanced stats nerds come up with a way to quantify 'huddle command'.
If this was last year I'd probably agree with you. Not so sure anymore. It's a huge mistake if they don't get one in the first 3 rounds this draftLOL.
You guys are overthinking this.
Jerry is just saying they are gonna start throwing late round picks at QBs. Anyone thinking they are investing a Top 3 round pick on a QB is delusional until they admit Dak isn't the guy.
We are talking about Jerry Jones. That's why NFL teams hire real GMs with knowledge of everything from scouting to roster building to salary cap management. Jerry thinks it's a hobby.
but they gave you an answer you liked. that's how you appease the masses!!Well I like Jerry’s answer better than Stephen’s so…..
You are really reading what you want to read in this. They are note taking a 48 million dollar cap hit on Prescott this. They aren't. For better or worse they have no intentions to move on.Translate people........they are at odds with Dak about his future. For them to start talking in public .........things have NOT gone well behind closed doors.
This is a clear message to Dak and his agent IMO
Hope he does better than his first practice at the Sr. Bowl. Reports were that he was terrible. He is intriguing though as well as th kid from Standford.I knew it!
Jaren Hall here we come!
Oh I do.
However. He didnt say in what round. LOL.
He didnt say in what round brother. LOL. Jerry is a master salesman remember.
I love how everybody gets into Dak Prescott mode when all this comment means is this:
Cowboys using a 2nd round pick on a QB?The Joneses are reactionary, so I could see them drafting one as early as the second round because of how the Eagles succeeded by taking Hurts when they already had Wentz.
Has not happened in over two decades___Quincy Carter - 53rd selection overall in 2001.
It was a pun. I figured out his stats were the road to nowhere years ago. What about the intangibles?!
Hurts is a system QB.Both questionable passers, but like you said, fluidity in running and overall play, such as quicker release, Hurts definitely has the advantage. QBs like Hurts and Dak are not the type of guys you will get consistent franchise play around them.
Hurts was awful last year, especially against us when Quinn was pressing the WRs from the snap and there is nothing impressive about him. There system is maximizing his skill-set, but he will level off quickly IMO and if they give him a huge contract, that will suck for them.
They were afraid to as someone's ego is fragile. Couldn't have any hint of competition. Now they don't care about feelings.Keep the QB roster churning. Never know what you might find.
and wanted to draft Manziel over Martin, allegedly. We are talking about Jerry Jones.
The same GM who didnt know a WR was a LB. Or something like that.
We will see......You are really reading what you want to read in this. They are note taking a 48 million dollar cap hit on Prescott this. They aren't. For better or worse they have no intentions to move on.
You are reading coffee grounds and calling them tea leaves
Hooker is the guy i keep thinking of as well.Only QB I see them drafting if it is a first rounder is Hooker. (insert joke here)
At 26? Goodness I hope not. He was pretty bad this year at least for the first half of the season, right?I doubt he is there at 26 but I wonder if they would pull the trigger on UF Anthony Richardson.
