Only premier defensive end is JPP. At the very least, Jerry seems to be talking a little out of the ordinary compared to his offseason remarks the last few years when we have been very conservative in free agency. Regardless, Jerry sure has a way with words.

“If I have a chance to bring one of these premiere pass rushers, one of these war daddies that takes two to block, if I have a chance to get a player like that — I would … it’s not a question of that,” Jones said on ESPN Dallas 103.3 (via the Dallas Morning News). “It’s a question of where is he? And who gives him up if he’s a veteran, or where is he in the draft, or where is he anywhere? So, yeah we do need pressure. We’re going to try to do something about it.”

We've needed one for a while. I'm glad he's finally noticed. It only took two games of Aaron Rodgers beating us.

They tried and failed in the 2015 offseason.

Greg Hardy had just as much upside as any 4-3 end in the league and Gregory was still a bargain in the second.

You swing, you miss---maybe this year they won't be so risky with it.

You're absolutely right they did.

They took a chance on two character risks - three including Rolando McClain - and none of them took advantage of the opportunity and now they're all out of the league.

The Club needs a defensive leader and a hardnosed...QB hating, bloodthirsty...nasty bastid. No more softies. Tough...tough and tough some more. Find or trade for a Haley..Burfit...young Harrison or pick a player that stocked the old Doomsday Crew. Thats what the club needs. Some tough nuts. No kissin and trading Jersey's after a game. Some good old fastioned HATE!!

Hardy wasn't a miss..Johnson or Landry would have made a Pro Bowler out of him. He was a victim of a weak and gutless HC nothing more or less. Sickens me he and Garrett couldn't make it work. Too bad.

Not going to turn this into a Hardy thread but the guy had problems---nobody in the league wanted to touch him last season, gutless head coach or not.

Rumor is he was on drugs when he was here. Easy to believe given the cocaine charges he had a little while back.

Ur absolutely right. Can u imagine how much better this team would have been if all three had panned out.
