Absolutely. (Not that I agree with him.)
For all the BS that floats out of the owner's mouth, he is saying the right thing at the right time.
The team is fairly demoralized by the 49er game. Don't need to say something soul crushing.
Belichick had no problems admitting that the Patriots need to start over after two horrible games where it became clear that Mac Jones is not the guy.

He’s saying this to make the expectations and pressure higher on Dak to hopefully make Dak perform better. It won’t work.

There you have it from the horse's rea....... mouth. Jerry Jones made this statement this morning on 105.3 The fan. It's copied on the official website.

"I completely believe we have the quarterback that can take us where we want to go," Jones said. "Dak Prescott is a quarterback that can get us to the Super Bowl. And that's the way that's going to be."

I realize Jerry says all kinds of ridiculous stuff. I also realize that he can't really publicly dump on his QB. Though I had hoped for something a little more motivating to #4.

If Jerry's not careful, he's gonna have the whole locker room pack it in mid season. It'll be interesting to see how Kellen Moore game plans against us this coming Monday. Lose that one, & Jerry is sure to have even more egg on his face....

** Jerry

I wonder how much info Moore is relaying to the Defensive Coordinator

There are two things anyone should consider about Jerry Jones' thinking on this topic:
  1. The complete history of how the quarterback position has been addressed since day one a.k.a. February 25, 1989.
  2. Allowing actual events to prove or disprove what he will eventually do.
Just remember. This is Jerry Jones we are talking about. It is not what ANYONE else in the world might do in this situation, especially following a game like what was seen Sunday night. Jerry. Jones.

Maybe he wants the whole locker room to quit so he can get rid of Fat Mac and try Quinn before the seasons over. If players dont respond to Quinn as HC, itll be time to clean house fully and hopefully bring in Jim Harbaugh. How nice would it be to have a physical, tough nosed football team again? Harbaugh would be my #1 option.

If they lose that game which is very possible; when they come back to play in Dallas, I want to be tuned in on that one.. Because if the wheels fall off, I can't wait to see how the crowd reacts to it. I will be watching. Best seat in the house and it's alot cheaper. I'm not interested in going to a nfl game and visiting an art museum.

Agreed.

Folks shouldn’t make too much of this one way or the other.

Dak will be our QB the rest of the season. Of course Jerry is going to provide his full support.

However, I also know Jerry will reverse course on a dime and cut bait (fingers crossed). Lool no further than all the stuff he was saying about Zeke this off season before cutting him.

Making a big move at QB would be admitting he was wrong and we all know Jerry's ego can be a tad sensitive. He'd love for Dak to prove him right.

Romo was not nearly as good as some of you would like everyone to believe.

He's a failed QB in Cowboys history. A chronic choker in big moments.
Romo would have dominated with the 2016 team no matter what you believe

I am fair and honest

After a drunken tirade about Romo my last name 31hammer was banned. So don't label me or assume

Any idiot knew Romo would have dominated because the team was built for Him . . . The team was so good that an over achieving limited rookie QB went on a winning streak with them . . . That team was limited with Prescott over Romo and that is a fact

Jerry made that imbecilic decision and now he is trying to over compensate by continuing to force Dak upon this team. . . Jerry is so far dug in He needed Dak to pan out based upon that idiotic decision to bench Romo and not even allow Him to compete for His Job back. . . That is what all of this is about

Everyone knows who the problem is and Jerry is forcing Him upon us because of his Ego

Harbaugh wouldn’t put up with Jerry and his radio shows, and Jerry would never hire a HC that puts them in another Parcells situation.

Disagree.

He just isn’t capable. GMs of the top teams in the league are/were out there making deals at high levels to get better.

Those two can’t operate that way, they know it, and don’t try.

Miserable disadvantage.

But our GM is 80 and would rather pray for cards to fall just right, then do the right thing and move on from HC....and more importantly QB. PLEASE someone tell after listening to this that things could change by seasons end....I need some kind of warm fuzzy to get me through this horrible sports week.

agreed. he is 1.5 feet away from the grave and doesn't have time for rebuild, so he is going to try and just fix it. I feel some trades coming. Jerry is desparate. if we lose this weekend, then its 100% we will see some trades
