If things aren't going great, Saban gets the hell out.

He did it at Michigan State, LSU, and Miami.

He's a great coach for Miami, but I personally not have a ton of respect for the guy.

LOL.... What? He has a basic run oriented offense that does not use the passing game very much. He has a basic NFL type defense that relies on talent to get pressure. None of that is going to work in the NFL because you are limited by your talent and I've been told more times then I can count that in order to win in the NFL, you have to be able to throw the ball.

No, he would not fit because the minute the run pass was 50/50, everybody in Cowboy nation would want his head on a spike.

I mean let him coach the defense and hire an O-coordinator to run the offense.

Saban isn't a DC and he won't allow that. Saban is a guy who has to control all aspects of his environment. He won't designate responsibility like that, it's not in his character. Saban is a great college coach because he can manipulate the talent pool to his advantage in College. In the Pro's, you can't do that. Saban should never come back to the NFL because if he does, it will cost him his stature. He is considered one of the greatest coaches of all time right now. If he comes to the NFL, he will again be exposed and that whole idea of Greatest Coach of all time goes out the window. Why would he ever risk that? I don't think he will but certainly not for Dallas. Jerry will not give him full control either way and Saban has way to much to lose to accept that IMO.

Nick Saban is a coach that demands full control of his team. It's his way or the highway. That's his style.

Never in a million years would he take this job.

No one has said he isn't an upgrade. Big Bird is an upgrade but I don't think he leaves Sesame Street anytime soon.

Exactly. Saying he is an upgrade over what we currently have, may or may not be true (I personally have not seen anything to suggest he is) but that's not a major factor. When you get right down to it, Jerry is the major factor and until he decides to hire a GM and leave the football matters to that person, the coaching will not matter. JMO

Saban would be horrible choice for a coach, his style and system will not work in the Pro's and he realized it after 1 year in MIA and was gone like a thief in the night. And for all you Garrett haters out there that want this guy, keep in mind, he is the one that gave Garrett his start as a coach and also allowed us to take Garrett from MIA, so this is really all his fault to begin with!! :)

Saban loves him some Garrett... Garrett will become QB coach then... I'm sure Romo would enjoy that...

The ginger clapper will be hc here next year. Hes not going anywhere hes just not.

The Ginger clapper. ROlmao!

Too awesome!

He learned that clap from Jerry coming down on the sidelines while Ginger was riding the pine back in Troys days starting.

Difference was those were warriors Jerry would clap for and we were winning championships.

This guy claps for what should be expected out of a play.

His defense is so successful at Alabama because he has better players that win 1-on-1. He's not doing anything revolutionary, he just has really good players.

He also claps when we do something bad which is beyond me!
