Tom Landry, Bill Bellichek were also not successful in their beginning stints. Garrett had a better success than them for first few years.

Also they didnt have to deal with Jerry. They were the pseudo GM and coach. Makes all the difference.

A decade of crap. Can't even use Landry anymore. Nevermind the fact he started with an expansion team. He had us in a championship game in 7 years. JG can't even get back to back playoff spots in a decade.
