Even if it did, so what? The rest of the league has the same challenge to face. Just because Jerry decided to do it all himself isn’t going to get sympathy points from me.Also funny how Jerry brought up the owners meeting when that has nothing to do with being a GM and personnel decisions.
for sure but you gotta make it personal with him to get the ego to come out and overtake the show clown...Jimmy does that, make sure he is answering questions about why Jimmy was better every appearance and watch him blow...I have a few questions too.
"As the brilliant football mind you claim to be, why did you think it a good idea to build your stadium facing east-west and not north-south?"
"Since you were one of the biggest influences in bringing a salary cap into football, why is it you haven't found a winning formula since it came into play?"
"Why as the GM of a team, did you not know where you were sitting salary cap wise when you made your infamous all in comments?"
"What has your family done to have such high ranking positions in the front office of a football team?"
That is just the tip of the iceberg.
"This is not your job. Your job isn't to let me go over all the reasons that I did something and I'm sorry that I did it. That's not your job. I'll get somebody else to ask these questions. I'm not kidding. You're not going to figure it out what the team is doing right or wrong. If you are, or any five or 10 like you, you need to come to this (NFL) meeting I'm going to today with 32 teams here, you're geniuses.
"You really think you're gonna sit here with a microphone and tell me all of the things that I've done wrong without going over the rights? Listen, we both know we're talking to a lot of great fans, a lot of great listeners. And I'm very sorry for what happened out there Sunday. I'm sick about what happened Sunday. "...
One of the stupidest things I've ever done, that anybody had ever analyzed was buy the Cowboys. It was an idiot that did that. So idiot things can turn into good decisions. Smart things can turn into bad decisions. The facts are when you make one, you don't really know if it's going to be good or not at the time. You want some conversation this morning, you're getting it."
It isnt just his ego, he enjoys being GM, making deals, running the team, and mostly being the voice of the team, is his favorite thing. Finally, just a hint of Jerry getting some criticism, and he shows his true colors.
It’s been 30 years of softball press in Dallas. And it’s led to Jerry insulating himself against any hint of criticism that has led to him thinking he is doing no wrong.
A man with a lesser ego would acknowledge his lack of success in the front office and take a step back from player personnel so the franchise as a whole could move forward. But not Jerry. His ego won’t allow it.
Hey, I agree 1000% with this, winning is not the priority here, and these players care more about promoting their brand. I just hope you dont exclude a certain qb from this cultureThe players have been showing for years they don’t care about winning. We were getting beat down by good teams last season. Players only come to Dallas to get paid.
he already did that to me. Jason garret era wore me down and jerry just finished me off lol.One thing my Father taught me is you never threaten a mans livelyhood and you respect it, no matter how succesful you become. This owner has me not wanting to root for a franchise I've rooted for and loved for over 54 years. The worm has to turn sometime don't it?
The QB cares because when the team isn’t successful all the fingers get pointed at him. There’s certain players like Diggs, who aren’t giving it their all out there. He wants no part of tackling. He looks like he’s escorting runners down the field. There was a shot of Parsons laughing with one of his teammates on the sidelines during last weeks game while we were getting bullied. The players on the team aren’t being held accountable enough. Most of the players on this team don’t care. The commitment to excellence simply isn’t there with the Cowboys.Hey, I agree 1000% with this, winning is not the priority here, and these players care more about promoting their brand. He’s a narcissist….for sureWouldn’t be shocked if he said what he said just for all the attention he is now getting. Although I listened in live and he did sound annoyed so who knows
LOL. They must be out looking for other teams to root for right now. You're all bandwagon fans! Haters! Quitters! Go find another team!
Just doing the job, since the guys that normally do it havent checked in today. I mean someone's gotta do it.
Lol and there you go. He got paid, you think getting blamed bothers him?The QB cares because when the team isn’t successful all the fingers get pointed at him.
