When has Gregory ever made an impact in the 30 games so far? Never. He has been injured and suspended for almost the whole time.

Why even waste time giving him practice reps at this stage? I guess the Cowboys might like to give him a taste of playing time so he can get on the straight and narrow path and turn his life around. I doubt he can stay clean. So, until the NFL allows drug use, I think Gregory's days in the NFL are over.
You waste time giving him practice reps because he is the most athletically talented DE that we have on this team. If by chance we we can grab lightning here then it's probably worth it to take that shot...It could make all the difference. It is one of the major things that this team is missing.

Ill be more excited if hes not suspended in 2017 and can stay away from the green leaf in the offseason.. For now hopefully he can contribute even if its only for a handful of games and validate why we should still keep him around...

Gregory may be a "JAG" right now, however, I'd much rather have a Randy Gregory on the field instead of a Zach Moore or a Ryan Davis who were getting snaps the past few weeks.

Cowboys DL is better with him on the roster than him not. I'm not fooling myself to expect huge impact, but he's a another solid depth player to add to the rotation with the ability to pass rush. This will be a positive impact for however long he's allowed to play.
Yeah I don't see anything bad from him playing. Big body and has the skills, unfortunately we haven't seen those skills yet but at the bare minimum it gives us depth at a position we desperately need depth. But if he is over his high ankle sprain that limited him last year, and hopefully he should be, then we may get to see those skills. So it's good news. I'm excited about it. At least we can see a healthy, in shape Gregory so we know what we got going into the draft. And he can always put Tom Brady on his back in the Super Bowl and Jerry can scream into the camera, "That's my pick"

I think by CBA rule the league can't say anything until the appeal process plays out.
Anyone know how long that process will take? What are the chances of him playing the last 2 games, then playing well and then playoffs start and he's suspended?

That would really be a bummer

I guess he got tired of stirring up Dak/Romo controversy. Thank goodness!!!

Jones: Gregory 'Absolutely' Will Play Next 2 Games

One of the best teams in the NFL could be adding another impact player to its defense for Week 16.

On Sunday, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told David Helman of the team's official site that defensive end Randy Gregory is eligible to return next week after being under suspension for the entire 2016 season to this point.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed the news on Monday, per NFL Network's James Palmer.

On Tuesday, Jones said Gregory will "absolutely" appear in one or both of the final two games of the season, per Troy Hughes of 105.3 The Fan.

Gregory was suspended the first four games of the season due to a drug-policy violation, and in September, the NFL added a 10-game suspension due to another violation. According to FanSided's George Stockburger (via NFL Mocks, h/t Fox Sports), NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported in November of a third violation, and "Gregory still faces a year-long suspension due to the multiple positive tests."

On Monday, Rapoport reported Gregory will practice this week and is slated to play while he awaits the appeal of the year-long ban.

The Cowboys (12-2) face the Detroit Lions in Week 16 and can clinch the NFC East—and No. 1 seed in the conference—with a win.

Not sure why people are upset or complaining about a top 10 potential talent getting some playing time. It's not like he will be the starter and why not let him get 2 games experience before the playoffs.

If it doesn't produce we don't lose anything that we have this season so far, its only upside for this team.

Not going to lie but with Irving and Mayowa coming on, and Collins producing. It would be special if Gregory could contribute........upgrade this team let's go

Wouldn't exactly refer to Gregory as a shiny new toy. He's one of those toys you were excited about when you first got it but it ended up not being as much fun as you thought.
Perfect description. The pictures on the box did look sooooo good though...

It would only be fitting that Gregory balls out these last two weeks (and postseason?) teasing the team and fans of his ability and gets suspended for all of 2017.
