Oh, definitely believe this is the onset of dementia. It's just exacerbated by his already odd way of speaking.I'll agree with that, however, the previous All-In quote indicates the 'lost in tine' element of the onset of the aging brain.
I think, as with most things, it's a mixture. The problem is I doubt there's anyone to convince him.
Media clicks and relevanceAll he had to do was wait, seriously, what was the point in signing him last minute?
What?Dak has been so bad and looked so shot physically that I can understand why Jerry might HOPE they might look better but it’s ridiculous to expect it. Rush is not a Joe Flacco or Jameis Winston type of backup that has it in him to sling it around and put up big numbers. Especially knowing how good Philly is and that you are going to be playing from behind and their D can be aggressive.
What a lot of people are failing to see is that while Dak would have certainly thrown for more yards he also would have thrown 3+ picks and taken 3+ bad sacks and probably doesn’t score much more if anything above 6 points. So 34-6 might have turned into 48-6 or 48-13. I honestly don’t see how that is any better.
And yet he gave the hunk of crap the highest contract in NFL history anyway. Screw this man, he deserves every last bit of misery he is getting."We've won 3 games with Dak. We weren't playing well with Dak. At all." is another gem in there.
I think he means to say that he thought despite not having Dak, they would have looked better than they did tonight, not that he thought losing Dak and starting Rush was a net positive improvement.I almost deleted this thread thinking it was a misquote or trolling, but as unbelievable as it is, Jerry actually said the exact words from the thread title in the video.
Yeah, but his meaning was he'd thought the team wouldn't be horrific without Prescott.I almost deleted this thread thinking it was a misquote or trolling, but as unbelievable as it is, Jerry actually said the exact words from the thread title in the video.
And someone likes this dumb take? lolDak's had a worse game against the Eagles than what Rush had tonight.
He had a game against Philly where he threw for 140 yards, 0 TDs, 3 INTs, 1 Fumble (lost), and only completed 58% of his passes.
Rush being awful doesn’t make me miss Dak.
This team is going nowhere in the future without a legitimate young QB prospect, like Staubach or Aikman.
Yes, the same guy Jerry made the highest-paid player ever.
This might be the closest to buyer's remorse we'll ever get from Jerry.
Lol no you're back to defending Dak. Rush sucks, Dak has been horrible this year tooAnd someone likes this dumb take? lol
The hate is real and blinding.

It again illustrates how strong the team was in 2022. Shame the offense couldn't put up 20 points against the Brock Purdy led 49ers. That was a genuine Superbowl roster as it was the previous season but more so in 2022.Rush being awful doesn’t make me miss Dak.

Yeah, kind of like the 2016 team in terms of wasted potential. To me, it was never a Dak vs Romo thing to me. It was the rational thing to play the better, more experienced QB, and likely have an even better team. If Romo got injured again (possible) or didn't play as well (unlikely) you could have always gone back to Dak.It again illustrates how strong the team was in 2022. Imagine going 4-1 with a trash practice squad QB like Rush! That was a loaded roster sadly wasted.
It's fun when people take the actual, very direct, words someone says and tries to bend them to mean what they want it to mean.I think he means to say that he thought despite not having Dak, they would have looked better than they did tonight, not that he thought losing Dak and starting Rush was a net positive improvement.
