Well, then Jerry's idiot son should've kept his mouth shut.

Between comments like this and “he’s the straw that stirs the drink”, it’s no wonder that the Jones boys find themselves in these situations.

This is just one of many reasons why you don’t want your owner being the GM. Especially when he’s the kind of guy that wants to talk to the media as much as he does. He’s walking around with one foot in his mouth

He’s been put in the perfect position his entire career. There’s no doubt he’s very good but he wouldn’t have had the same success in college say...behind the Penn State O line or the Giants O line last year.
Well unfortunately you can't back your opinion up. I'll tow the road which is obvious and great players like Irvin are saying this offense runs through Zeke, was built to run, and will be in trouble if he doesn't sign.

He should be. Jerry stood by him and went to bat for him, then this. Elliott just isn't very sharp or is getting bad advice from his agent. Having Jerry in his corner Zeke would've been well taken care of at some point.

If I was Jerry I'd tell Zeke to make yourself comfortable down there in Cabo because you're gonna be there for a while.

DeMarco Murray had an 1800 yard season behind this line, Darren McFadden had a 1000 yard season behind this line and he wasn't even the starter thru the 1st 4 weeks of the season and he played the entire season without a QB, JJ knows any decent running back can do well behind this line. IMO Zeke has overplayed his hand, the time for him to hold out would have been before next season, the team picked up his 5th year option and it is guaranteed for injury so not holding out this season really wouldn't hurt Zeke, plus he is only 24 years old, there would still be a big deal waiting for him when he was 25, this kid has made all the wrong moves since the day he came into the NFL
Both players while very good are not elite. He will be signed soon and this will all be moot. Murray had 1 good season his entire career...1. Dmac was an overrated first round pick who coudn't handle a full bell cow workload anytime he was given the chance. Zeke is a bell cow is arguably the best RB in the league right now and this offense and line was built for a back just like him.

So what you are really doing here is making my point for me which is behind this line you don't have to be a great back to have a solid season!!

It’s becoming more apparent the growing sentiment was to run him in the ground the next 2 years and let him go. And probably why Elliott is rising up.

I don't believe that at all. Jerry's been good to Zeke, but Zeke is sticking it to him. I hope Jerry hangs him out to dry.

Everyone is way too worked up about the Zeke situation. He has no leverage, really; if he wants to accrue this season, he has to report eventually. He's just avoiding a boring and tedious training camp. He'll be there before long and all will be forgotten.

And if he were silly enough to hold out through the actual season, the Giants are going to be so bad that would be an easy win without him, making him look worse.

No not at all your point is useless as this team was built to run with an elite bell cow. None of the examples you listed fit this category.

DHB... Your sig image...could you pls downscale it 80% or remove it? Might be a nice image but when it appears HUGE in 6 posts per page...it annoys. If not, I'll have to block you and miss out on your posts, which would suck. Thanks in advance.

The players you mentioned all won rings. No one on the current roster has come close.

As for current management, Jerry is too busy trying to befriend players and his personal feelings get involved. He loses objectivity and players take advantage of it.

Players knew there was a line with Landry and Jimmy. There's no line in Dallas these days because the HC is neutered by Jerry and Jerry...see above.
In other words we are a team without discipline in our leadership ? And probably why we have not had much success with problem players.

The point in reference to the other problematic players is their talent lent support to our success and needed. And if we did hang a banner fans would be more embracing of Elliott as they were those guys.
