Why do you care? You must have a perfect life if you let things like this bother you. I don't get it, what's the big deal?
It’s the principle. And illustrates a greater issue.

You don’t even have an argument why he’s announcing. Just pushing back criticism . Lol

They think Jerry is actually deciding who will play and won't. Like we don't have team doctors.
He’s just trying to play like he’s in control being a football guy . It’s so embarrassing for our football operation.

I push back when I read posts that I find stupid, ignorant or frivolous.
That my opinion, we all have one.

And it's the principle is not a very good argument! LOL!

BTW. Other owners have businesses, the Cowboys ARE Jerry's business. He's not just your owner, he's your GM too.

You don’t even have an argument why we have only owner making injury announcements.

Jethro has other businesses too. And other teams GM’s don’t usually make game injury announcements. The HC’s do.

I’d like to hear why you think Jethro does this instead of our HC.

I don't care why he does it. It doesn't bother me one bit. Why does it bother you, other than the principle? What's the big deal that it bothers you so much.

Regardless of how strange it may be, it doesn’t have any affect on winning and losing. Thus it confuses me as to why folks get upset about it.
Besides being dysfunctional it comes off as though our owner and GM is more involved in these decisions which is exactly what he wants.

And it does ultimately have an impact and effect because of the culture and atmosphere his ways bestows on football operations .

I thought everyone agreed with this .

That’s not a football answer . You’re a HC. You should know . You’re just defending any criticism.

And I explained it in above post .

:hammer:
A voice of reason. Some people are lucky that they don't have anything better to worry about. Meanwhile my daughter is in the emergency room and I'm in the lobby arguing about Jerry!

I’m not upset about it, just pointing out it is outside the norms of what other GMs do. Most GMs are careful not to take away from the authority of their HC. Not here. And we don’t know if it does or doesn’t affect winning or losing. It certainly has the potential to undermine the HC.

So Jerry talking was the reason we lost to San Fran lol?

Obviously not. So that’s my point. We have no issue winning we just went 12-5 back to back. The issue is QB play/depth/coaching when playing elite teams deep in the playoffs.

Jerry wanting to seem involved and making vague comments has absolutely zero bearing on our ability to beat the niners.

Parsons and Diggs themselves laughed when Ryan Clark asked them about Jerry and if he affects the locker room in a podcast, They literally looked at eachother and busted out laughing lol.

Any reasonable person can see Jerry is just an old senile dribbling rich guy. What he says is not taken seriously enough to seep into any real important on-field competition.

We don’t like it because it’s unusual. But anyone watching this team the last few years can see how well it’s being run and being shaped in the image of the HC/DC. Jerry has less on-field effect as he ever has. It’s time we let go of the past with Jerry and see that he’s no longer a factor.

The Cowboys are now run by Stephan/McClay/McCarthy/Quinn. Jerry has as little influence on the real stuff as ever.
