Dont' do that. I never said anything about "liking" This team. This is your tactic....you get called out for your antics and then you want to deflect by saying something I never said.

Do you not think Dak sucks? Do you not think we can't win with him? Do you not think McCarthy and our coaches suck? I've seen you answer these questions.

You've said it all. So help me explain what sense does it make to trade future assets when this team doesn't have a shot at winning a ring this year or until Dak and McCarthy is gone?
What 'antics'? All I'm doing is voicing my opinion concerning the owner / GM and his lack of concern about the roster. Why are you bringing Dak, MM and the other coaches into this?

I think most FOs have his mindset. He just makes it a bit more obvious. If he really wanted to win a SB (which would mean more money for him), then it's clear the trade that he has to make. Maybe it's not guaranteed to work, but I like the odds better with DH or Williams in January than without them. But maybe Jerry gets his kicks from laughing while the 49ers destroy us in the playoffs. What's a loss when we get boatloads of money?
I don't even know what to say to this uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh which means more money, you'd think a man who loves making money would want more. Yet they make so much money, but act like they're scared to spend it at times

never know until you try???????????? Philly has made some moves, and damn it never got them to the superbowl recently, hell they even won one. We keep on drafting duds in certain rounds, might as well just give it up

The Rams did it in 2021. I'm not saying go screw draft picks. But, we suck in round 2. There are some running backs that we can get with said pick. Said running backs give us a fighting chance in the playoffs. One of said backs could really energise the team with what he's capable of doing.

I think that's where Derrick Henry or Williams from the Broncos makes sense though. If we can run the ball more effectively, then that can keep the LBs we have fresher. Plus, LVE should be back in a few more weeks. So, DH or Williams can give us a fighting chance to compete in January.
I'm not a Williams fan but I could get behind him for a 6th rounder. Henry is the one I really want but I guess it depends on the cost there. A 3rd for Henry or a 6th for Williams?

Don't you know he's got great great great great grandchildren that might need some of that money? Pfft, in all seriousness, you would think he'd realise that he could make tons more money by taking the occasional chance. Where's the Jerry Jones that used to not be afraid to take a gamble every now and then? Doesn't he realise the jerseys he could sell?

I want Henry as well, as I've made clear. Either way, they're both on teams who are wanting to sell. Jerry should be buying a RB. Either could energise our running back room, and both compliment Pollard.

Never know until you try lol? I mean ok. It is what it is. I'm just bringing up the silly nature of this site where we complain we suck and how we will never win a ring with Dak and McCarthy but want us to make a trade for a player another team doesn't want and THAT will make us a winner.

Basically saying he wants other teams who are shopping players to come to the cowboys with opportunities-not the other way around, which basically every team in the league wants to happen and does regularly happen with teams who are having fire sales.

I don’t take anything jerry says too seriously at all, big problem I see here is people do. He could say they’ll be very active and then no trades happen and vice versa. Whatever Jerry says positive, negative, or indifferent it really doesn’t matter because he says one thing publicly and does the other behind the scenes often.

When people realize this they’ll be better off imo
if he said he was going to make calls, people here would say, damn Jerry now the price went up as people know we are desperate

So you believe this team can win a ring with McCarthy and Dak? Because you said they couldn't. So you've had a change of heart on this stance?

Because we need more Eric Scotts!!!!
lol but ignoring the trading window just seems short sited. A good GM would at least be looking

I think taking a shot at a cb, lb, te or any other position we've had injuries and could use help for a low pick may be a good move

Maybe Jerry is just taking advice from Mcclay. there is no one player out there that can come in to help. Unless they trade away top draft picks. Which they will not do.
I think since the Amari trade really did not work out, they are gun shy to give up another 1st round pick.
Remember they do not have have all their picks in the 2024 draft.

1, 2, 3, 6th from Texans, 7th. We should get a 5th and 6th in comps. Not a lot of draft capital to trade away.

As much as I would like to see a trade for some help. It takes 2 teams, and teams want premium picks for other their players.
Why the Titans want to continue to help the Eagles. Maybe someone is mad at the other NFCE teams.

I didn't know Williams was a 2nd rounder....yeah a 6th for him might be wishful thinking on my part lol.

Either way, one of those should be wearing a Star. I will not critique Jerry for taking a reasonable risk like a 2nd round pick for DH or Williams and it doesn't work. At least then, he clearly tried to fill a key position. At least then, he showed he cares. I will, however, be very loud with my criticism if this season ends the way it inevitably will if he doesn't take a chance with either back. Or, maybe he has a back in mind he can get with a bargain. I don't care how he does it. I just want him to take a chance at RB to fix our glaring problem. We put time and effort in to cheer on the team. I'd like to know that he cares at least a little bit about something other than his pocketbook.

I don’t take this in a negative way. Teams often call other teams … by this you don’t get taken to the woodshed as they are more desperate by calling you. It’s smart business.

With that being said, with our current roster, I still see this team as the 3rd/4th best team in the NFC. Lions and 49er had some stinkers and the Eagles are the Eagles.
Yeah, not negative, more like vapid.

Jerry doesn't care about winning. So this shouldn't surprise anyone.

He even admits his team isn't on the same level as Philthy or SF yet still won't lift a finger to improve the roster. F this dude....
I honestly cannot figure out why some still claim that winning is his top priority. I mean, you'd have to ignore mounds of contrary evidence to think that.
