Jerry Jones decides to keep TO

I may offend a few people here I like, but I have to day this.

Cutting Owens now as a means of improving the team for 2009 was one of the worst ideas I heard in my time as a fan.

I actually felt dumber after reading each post arguing the merits of his release.

Never any doubt that he's going to be here. Jerry had too much ego and money invested in him. Question is, how many games before he blows up? This will be a very different season than the last two. No more fun media times in camp, no more front runner status, no more happy go lucky Romo.

This squad can't rationalize missed snaps or heroic efforts by road warrior Giants anymore, the Cowboys have a flat out record of choking down the stretch. Pulling it all together in December has become an increasingly harder sell, so if they don't get off to a good start, things could get ugly quickly. . especially with the most self-obsessed player on the team/NFL.

he told steve dennis today no decision has been made on owens yet and he ducked the question from dale hansen. What does that mean, I have no idea. i would imagine if asked if romo or witten were coming back it would be a flat out yes...Jerry is very confusing.

I agree, and frankly if we are going to keep the sensitive guy, why not be more demonstrative in your support?

well jerry just did an interview on wfaa that has made me feel even less excited about next year and in the interview with hansen I think he confirmed owens is coming back....

he dodged the question by throwing parcells under the bus.

The Hansen thing wasn't a question. It was Hansen making a statement and Jerry just letting it ride.

He's more confusing than ever recently. Maybe Jerry is going after Anquan Boldin and he doesn't want to let the Cards know he is dire need of making that happen because he's planning on dumping #81. Maybe that's why he hasn't dropped him just yet. The Cards could jack that price up if they knew Jerry didn't have T.O. to fall back on.

As for the money issues in releasing Owens. When have 'money related matters' ever stopped Jerry from doing anything? There are always ways around the cap. Players restructure, take pay cuts, etc.

Imagine Boldin and Roy. Nice. Definitely plays into the shorter passing game and you still have Roy getting deep every so often and Miles Austin as the edge guy in the three wide sets. All young too.
