Jerry Jones has been hanging Romo and Dak out to dry! Statistical Evidence

The Marinelli influenced drafts were a direct result of the GM by committee approach that Jerry thinks is so great. Asks everyones opinion then picks the one he likes the best.

Agree that MM is the best HC we have had other than the two obvious, but I still don't think he can hire, fire or cut anyone without Jerry's approval.

And the entire locker room knows it. And Jerry knows it and makes it no secret. Either thinks it's no problem or doesn't care. All it does is make a difficult job (NFL HC) damn near impossible.
Parcells and Gailey were better. Stop letting Aaron rodgers fool you

None of us really needed this spelled out. We all know the failings of Jerry to properly build around both Romo and Dak.

But for those QB challenged fans that have hammered both Romo and Dak for the failing of the overall team can learn something here. The relationship between the QB and the team around the QB. I would say half the fan base dont understand these simple concepts and blame the QB for everything.

From a guy that liked and defended both Romo and Dak and understands this, this article spells out nicely the failings of the FO to properly surround either guy with a legitimate team to win a SB.

Furthermore, the fact that each of the Cowboys’ franchise quarterbacks of the last decade-plus are both among the top 15 quarterbacks most let down by their team is an embarrassment and a scathing indictment of how this front office runs the team. Not a single soul is surprised by this, but it’s oddly comforting to have statistical evidence of this right before beginning a season in which Prescott will be asked to do even more with even less.
Yep

There’s not a fan in the league who’d trade owners with us.

The Cowboys could not have beaten the 49ers last season? If we score a touchdown we win that game. The 49ers were a dropped interception away from winning the Super Bowl. You are clueless or have an agenda. The Cowboys were a top 8 NFL team going into the playoffs.
If the 49ers had a better QB the game would have been over at halftime instead of only 16-7. Apparently the Whiners recognize this and why Trey is getting the nod this year.

And most analysts recognized SF wasn’t a good matchup for us. By most handicappers we were the 5th -6th best team in NFC. About where we are being pegged this year heading into season,

If Lance is half of Josh Allen 49ers win the NFC this season.

If the niners run the ball and play the same defense and dont have injuries...he may just need to be a tiny bit better than Jimmy G on not turning the ball over and they could win the NFC any year.

The Cowboys were not legitimate contenders.

You thinking we actually were all those years shows complete lack what it takes to win a championship.

Another QB challenged Cowboys fan.

romo idk

but dak jerry admit himself he have to stack offense to make every thing “dak friendly” so that is less resource for the defense

Since 2014 we’ve drafted in the 1st or 2nd rounds Jaylon, LVE, Hill, Diggs, Joseph, Gregory, Taco, Awuzie, DLaw, Byron, Micah, and Sam Williams. That’s 12 of our 17 1st/2nd rd picks dedicated to defense. Your post is pretty much false.

Good article! Thanks for posting. I've always felt any team that was gifted franchise QBs back to back like we have should have several championships. It's nice to have some statistical evidence to show how horrible our front office is.

Jerry certainly hung Romo out to dry. Thinking Daks teams are in that same category is funny!

Thinking that this FO has done a better job....well insanity comes to mind. Literally not seeing the 26 year trend is funny. Again the 2014 team and the 2016 team looked the same anyone trying to paint one better than the other is going against thier own argument. Both had the top running game and Oline..both had suspect defense, so with this argument how does a much better Romo not win with the 2014 team but would've won with the 2016 team? how is this even a thought?

Romo was already 34 in 2016. And Jerry did a crap job between 2007 and the Tyron pick in 2012 when his ‘franchise QB’ was already 32. Suggesting Dak is in the same boat is laughable. Give me 3 solid moves between 2007 and 2011?? lol that’s the meat of Romo’s career! the stupidity of Jerry Jones during the Romo era was off the charts ridiculous. That includes his coaching hires, his drafts, the lack of an Oline until Romo was into his 30s and not to mention the Roy Williams trade. If you think what’s happening today is the same thing.. I got a bridge for sale. Yes its been 26 years but his decisions right after Parcells left were a complete joke.

Saying Dak is not in the same boat but admitting Jerry is the same Jerry..how does that work?

he’s not the same. Dak stepped on the field day 1, had a full line and zeke. And the drafts besides a few headscratchers have been light years better. Those 5 years between 7 and 11 were complete garbage. You’re telling me todays decisions are the same? It’s not even close.

Ok if thats what you see we will just have to agree to disagree, if replacing Dak does not solve the problem though do not be suprised.

Because they are incompetent.

I'm sure they talked about it. They just have no idea what they're doing. I think they focus too much on overcompensating on offense to help their completely average QBs overachieve and ignore the defense in the process.

The same reason they stick with horirble coaches too long and give players contracts they don't deserve. They just aren't good at the team building side of things.

Because they spend more time worrying about what the franchise is worth. Dak was worth the money to them, because he had no problem getting endorsements that would shine the
light on the franchise. They didn't pay him because they thought he was elite. That crap they would spew about how they believed in Dak blah blah... that was just to keep everything
looking good.

Does Jerry want a Superbowl? Yeah... But that is second on his list.

So why didnt they do well when Dak was making 400k a season?

he already answered you. Just read and at least try to understand.
You cant win meaningful games with an average QB. Well at least in his mind dak is an average QB. Not in mine. To me he is an bad nfl qb.
