Jethro and Little Anus are not football guys, no matter how long they have been at the helm of this franchise.

Their history of decisions to build a winner continue to reveal they ignore the trenches, leaving either one side or the other in a woeful state, which translates into disappointment.

Ego and money, married with a burning desire to be considered an expert in a field where they continue to show they have no business being the guys behind the desk where the buck stops, is clear to most, if not all fans here.

And the rest of the NFL which actually deals with assembling a winner.

And the supreme insult to fans is the amount of money this team has under the cap. Unless these arse clowns grow a brain and make moves to get players for the OL to fill in for the crap they herald as players who will "compete," and perhaps the linebacker in flux begging for a trade, even for a rent-a-player to improve both sides of the ball, this season will be one of a long line of failures. Each looking like the others, as if we are watching a plastic tray of Oreos, where there is no difference between each disappointing years.

And yet, even with the possibility (unlikely) of making moves, we still look at how they have handled the kicker issue.

None of us really needed this spelled out. We all know the failings of Jerry to properly build around both Romo and Dak.

But for those QB challenged fans that have hammered both Romo and Dak for the failing of the overall team can learn something here. The relationship between the QB and the team around the QB. I would say half the fan base dont understand these simple concepts and blame the QB for everything.

From a guy that liked and defended both Romo and Dak and understands this, this article spells out nicely the failings of the FO to properly surround either guy with a legitimate team to win a SB.

Romo hung himself out to dry when he embraced Garrett's pass happy offense. A lot of talent was wasted during his time.
Dak isn't good enough to know what he has, and his inaccuracies and choking under tense situations hangs him out to dry.
Jerry doesn't help, but he's put the talent on the field to win.

I think at the end of the day most of us want this team to succeed regardless who’s under center.
I do think there are some however that would secretly be angry if the cowboys won it all with Dak.

Eli was clearly the better quarterback in the playoffs when we played the Giants. Eli is going into the Hall of Fame based of how he performed in the clutch. Jimmy G. and Goff outplayed Dak. Goff had a clutch run to hold onto the lead.

In both games Dallas was destroyed in the trenches, run the ball, stop the run. Do that and a team has good chance of winning.

2011 team was awful.

I know its just my opinion that Dak is a bad NFL QB. I tried to give reasons a few times here. So its nothing i just made up - because - as some very intelligent people here would put it "i hate dak". Seriously i do care NOT who is under center. As long as he is geving this franchise a chance to win. Just with daks contract paired with his abilities for me he does not.

I couldn't agree more. Two millionaires playing fantasy football with a real NFL franchise. And to make matters worse they never learn from past mistakes. They have no football philosophy. Their strategy regarding personnel changes year to year. One year they overlook the back up QB and pay dearly (2015). Realize the mistake and invest draftee in a backup (2016). Only to totally disregard the back up LT position (2017). Every year is hit and miss because there is not a clear direction for the team.

Also the lack of direction shows up when they hire coaches or replace personnel. Hire a 3-4 coach in Nolan and give him 4-3 personnel. Get rid of a declining Dez Bryant and replace him with Allen Hurns. Same this year with Amari Cooper. Get rid of him and replace him with James Washington who hasn't done diddley squat in his career. We've been having issues with the swing tackle since we rolled Chaz Green vs Atlanta in 2017 and 5 years later our swing tackles candidates are Josh Ball and some other dudes that I cant even remember their names.

There's only one constant the past 28 years: The GM in training is still in the learning process and he's not showing signs of improving.

Romo had the talent to win superbowls and someone that you build a team around. IMO if he played for a competent football organization he would have at least one superbowl if not won or made another.
