I just dont see your point.

:laugh2:

There is a chance Roy could still make game breaking plays as a complimentary player but Jerry opened his mouth fully and inserted his dress leather shoes in the orfice yet again with regards to Williams being a Legit #1 or for that matter near worth the 1st round pick we gave.

Just give Detroits Front office some credit, the truth is that he's simply not the force at the WR position Dallas thought he was.

players need to be accountable when their not doing their jobs, that way doesnt happen again; Let the players be accountable. Havent we all wanted the head coach and jerry jones to make players accountable when they mess up?

thats my point;

I still think roy williams can be a force, he just needed his rear end kicked, read the post above where i posted what roy said on dallascowboys.com about his family getting on him big time and roy going back to the juggs machine to catch balls better.

remember when crayton got demoted, crayton said he redicated himself and got some tips from rossum on punt returns and we saw the positive results

till a player takes accountablity and admits he has messed up, he cant improve

roy is doing that now, i think either this week or next week you will see a vast improvement

and maybe possibly roy w really helping our offense explode in the playoffs where its too late for teams to stop us from scoring etc.

Roy is taking accountabilty for his mistakes. There is nothing wrong with Jerry trying to boost his confidence a little.

The whole credability of this team is based upon personal development and overcoming one's past to excell. It is shone in Tony Romo, Miles Austin, Anthony Spencer, Keith Brooking, and even Mike Jenkins.

What, that storyline can NOT also apply to Roy Williams and Bobby Carpenter?

Now, just saying, what if posters were posted all over town, proclaiming a huge and contracted fight...and NO ONE SHOWED? :eek::

No, again, sometimes I am posting like 4-5 things and i just glanced at them, I was going by the statement that the writer made on the title where jerry jones backs roy williams. My point being, roy williams said that his family has been getting on him, along with him not getting balls in the 2nd half and that roy needed to get back to working on the juggs machine to catch balls more cleanly etc.

So, roy williams was admitting that he needed to get confidence back in jason garrett and tony romo because balls werent being thrown to him in 2nd half last 2 games.

So, roy williams was being accountable, jerry jones to me just needed to let that be and let roy williams work like he should to improve.

You do realize that was from an interview right? JJ was asked questions and he answered them.

But if Williams is looking for a person for support he can look to Jerry Jones. Jones said he is not frustrated with Williams or the production since making the trade with Detroit.

"I don't believe that is the case at all," Jones said. "On a personal basis and professional basis, I have not [lost confidence]. I know the kinds of plays he is capable of making and can make. I think we will see those as we go into Philadelphia and the playoffs."

Jerry is talking about he hasn't lost confidence in Roy Williams, not saying he doesn't think Roy's play is phenomenal on the field, and needs no work at all, he's saying he thinks Roy will turn it around.

Jerry isn't going to stop him from putting in extra work, he's pretty much saying that he knows Roy is capable of turning around, in his mind. You make it seem like Jerry is talking to Roy and telling him "don't put in that extra work, you're fine just how you are." That's not what he is saying at all man. He was answering a person's question if he(jerry) was frustrated with Roy's performance.

Phony GM endorses disastrous trade that he authorized. I'm reeling from the shock.

Is he the same phony GM that got us three Lombardis since he's been "GM"? :rolleyes:

we just saw it different, i would think to me, jerry should say that roy is stepping up to be a player, taking it upon himself to improve and catch balls better, etc;

Fraid so. If you appoint yourself to a job instead of earning it like everyone else, you're a phony. There are people who convincingly pass themselves off as doctors and lawyers every day, but even if they get "results," they're still phonies. And no, this doesn't just apply to licensed or accredited positions.

thats the point i was trying to make;

havent we all wanted the players to be accoutable, like when tony romo took the blame for a loss in a game awhile back. Then let the players stand up and be accountable so they correct those problmes.

So you are screaming accountability from the players when you personally were not accountable enough to read the article you are posting? Just read the title and threw in your bash from there? Maybe you need to start reading stuff before commenting on it eh?

Jerry Jones has Roy Williams' back

Earlier today Roy Williams said he wasn't sure Jason Garrett or Tony Romo had much confidence in him with some drops the last few weeks in big situations.

Williams did not blame them, saying he brought the issue on himself, which is better than the answer he gave last week after a drop.

Then why hasn't it happened yet?

"If we all knew about how to correct areas of criticism, then we'd be geniuses," Jones said. "But I think he's made some big plays. I think we'll continue to give him the opportunity to make plays. He'll be on the field."

"opens big mouth again"

Good grief man.

:rolleyes:

again ive just got through posting like 7 things so i need to slow down some i guess; sorry

Jerry just said he still had confidence in him LOL he didn't say he was satisfied with how he had play, hell by saying he had confidence in him he basically was saying he was not satisfied with his play

No, to me, Roy was taking accountability, but to me in a way jerry jones was saying that he didnt have to, everything was ok. I wanted roy to admit his mistakes so he can correct them and improve so he can be the player he can be and more. Just thats the way i read part of it;

But this is where we disagree;
"I don't believe that is the case at all," Jones said. "On a personal basis and professional basis, I have not [lost confidence]. I know the kinds of plays he is capable of making and can make. I think we will see those as we go into Philadelphia and the playoffs."
Have you seen Roy W makes those big plays? I havent !

Then why hasn't it happened yet?

"If we all knew about how to correct areas of criticism, then we'd be geniuses," Jones said. "But I think he's made some big plays. I think we'll continue to give him the opportunity to make plays. He'll be on the field."
This is where I disagree with jerry, something had to happen, either roy got demoted or something was said to him, evidently something was or roy figured out from his family getting onto him, etc and he wasnt getting balls in 2nd half etc. To me jerry was saying everything was ok dokey and dont worry it will happen. We have heard all the month how wade said that roy w has made big catches in practice, but we havent seen it on the field have we?
Roy just needed to be accountable to me, take ownership which he did and jerry jones just needed to say, that some steps were taking place to improve roys catching etc and thats all you needed to know.
